Prof shim is a good Professor and is quite understanding. The class is extremely hard if you dont pay attention for 3 minutes. Its very easily to fall behind to make sure to pay attention. The class is a lecture th whole time but hes a cool dude.

The class has an easy grading scale where an 'A' is a 90. The performance on in-class simulation determines your grade- the better performance gets a better grade. 1 Midterm, No Final. Extremely dry sense of humor and loves to throw jabs at his students.

Overall funny prof during in class lecture. Goes over exercises in class step by step in detail. 1 excel text, 1 access, 1 IT concepts test, project instead of a final. 100% recommend taking, gives you the answers to homework during office hours and is always willing to help students understand how to do the work

Sarcastic and funny. Pay attention and try to comprehend and interact during class. Stay off your phone because if you get distracted for a minute you could get completely lost. Clear grading with a lot of partial credit. One Excel test, one access test, one info concept test, one group project, a total of 8-10 home works. Tutor really help if need

You don't need the textbook, you learn as you do the Excel, Access, etc. exercises in class with the prof. Pay attention if you've never used the computer programs. 3 tests, decent amount of homework similar to the classwork, and one small project. He's a nice, quiet guy and lectures the whole time.

Professor Shim is the man. I had to retake BITM because i did so bad the first time and Shim made it so much easier, gotta love this guy he always throws in jokes here and there when you least expect it and its so funny. Highly recommend Shim.

Professor Shim was clear when explaining the course material, but was sometimes hard to understand because of his accent. Was a good grader, and even though I bombed one of the three tests, I still managed to get a B+

Comment:

Professor Shim's class consists of six homeworks, three tests (including final), and one project. He's does a good job of maintaining students' attention, although BITM isn't the most interesting material to learn. He gives you plenty of time to do the homeworks, and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD make sure you pay attention during IT Concepts lectures!!

He is a GREAT prof and is always willing to help. He is very flexible and curves all tests. He also offers make up tests if you did poorly.his class is fairly ez if u pay attention. Hw is short and shouldnt take you too long.

Alight prof, not the best, not the worst. would take again if i HAD to. class is him going over powerpoints and giving hw, no class discussions. a good amount of hw, not difficult stuff, all out of the book. lots of typing. if youre not seasoned with excel and business apps, youre going to need extra help.

Initially, the accent is a little hard to understand but you'll get used to it. He's very helpful in class and can be funny and has no attitude. Do all online assignments which aren't that hard to get easy points. He lets you know exactly what's on the test, so study and this class should at least get you a B or higher

One of the best teachers you'll have. Gives easy homework that counts for a lot. Class is very organized and smooth. You can go on your laptop during his lecture and still do well on his tests. He reviews thouroughly for exams and responds quickly to emails. Take Sung Shim!
