Stays in front of class babbling about history and information that wont ever end up on tests. Rude and disrespectful, didnt answer questions. Be ready to teach yourselves.

I took Prof. Burke for Macroeconomics and chose to drop him after just a few lectures. During his lectures he sits in one spot and just talks for an entire hour. If you ask a question he makes you feel dumb. I was uncomfortable speaking up in class. If you are already familiar with economics he may be fine. Grade is based only on tests.

If you're easily offended he can seem condescending, but he's just joking. My class always had a good laugh & still got everything done. Your grade relies solely on your tests & homework, but he says that from day one. He's very clear & honestly one of the best professors. If you pay attention & do your work, there's no reason you shouldn't do well.

Professor Burke's lectures were the highlight of the last 6 months of my life because of how funny and educational they were. As long as you put the effort in to read, pay attention to lecture, and study for the exams you will do fine (although for some this is too much to ask). One of most cost-effective educational experiences of my life.

He has no passion in what he teaches, talks too fast, and tries to make you feel stupid when asking questions. Seems bitter. Knows his stuff but it gets lost in his arrogant attitude. He needs to slow down for macro being such a complex subject.

This was not a good class. I had to drop his class he did not give homework and you will have straight test that is base on your grade alone.if you asked a question he will not answer you or act like you dont know what your talking about. if you looking at this please dont take his class.he teacher to fast and is very disrespectful to student.

I've had the luxury of having him for acct 101. He is a great teacher. His teaching and knowledge is very clear and outstanding. If you have the privilege of taking him, make sure you take notes and study the chapters, you will get an easy A.

Comment:
Prof knows the subject very well but teaching style tends to be condescending and very disrespectful in the way he speaks to students and makes very offensive comments about religion (which has nothing to do with accounting). The subject is important though and interesting in itself. The professor is just a negative person.

Can be really funny and interesting. money not wasted on the book. I learned from him and the book, i understood and i now like accounting alot. But he is preoccupied with leaving, he is absentminded, he never returned one of r tests and i questioned my grade but couldnt review. He acted like i did something by asking for the test i reccommend tho

I took ACCT 101 and 102 from this professor. He is very good. For accounting subject he give very little homework but explain clearly on class. His teaching style can rub off some people the wrong way since he is sarcastic but He is a good teacher nonetheless. I wish I can take his other classes. An easy A if you put attention during class.

Not very inspiring and a lot of his attempts at humor were not very PC. Did a fair job of teaching some concepts but many of my classmates learned more from me than from him.

useless I dropped him becuase he paraphrases the work and when you ask him about it he will not tell you. He says one thing will be on the test and then puts another. He very seldom puts notes on the board. If you do not really want to learn and just want a C or D then he is the one for you.

NEEDLESS TO SAY THIS MAN IS HARD. FAILED HIM. I TOOK HIM FOR A 7:30-9PM CLASS AND HE WAS SO PREOCCUPIED WITH LEAVING WE NEVER LEARNED. NOT TO MENTION ALL THE STORIES HE WENT ON AND ON ABOUT. YOU HAVE TO LITERALLY TEACH YOURSELF AND I LEARN THROUGH LECTURES. IF U ARE PAYING TO BE TAUGHT, THEN U DONT WANT HIM.

I can't understand why someone would have something bad to say about this professor. I thought he was great. His tests are straight forward and based on the book. And doesn't require homework. In class, rather than just drone on and follow the book, he teaches economics like he's telling a story. I thought he was great.

His comments are sometimes way out of line. He has made many racial slurs in the past. If you are a person who asks a lot of questions...DO NOT take this course. Other than that...this Professor must have been very good looking back in the days...:-)

Made an already confusing subject even harder to comprehend. Studied my but off with several other class mates and still only got a C. Attempts to ask for help were met with "no time, sorry"
