While you do have to read out of the textbook to get your information, his slides go along well with what you read beforehand and he has a lot of personal experience to make the class quite interesting. He's easygoing as well, not assigning much for homework, and he had fun in our class. We went outside and stared at the sky as a social experiment.

Comment:

Dr. Sheets truly cares about his students. He met with me outside of class several times to answer questions regarding the process of applying to graduate schools. He has also helped me gain research experience, which is vital for my future education. Overall, he is a great teacher that stimulates interest in the topics he teaches.

Dr. Sheets did not teach this class. He gave us assignments and each week went over the assigned homework from the previous week. He did not show us how to use the excel program. It literally took 1.5 years for him to grade my signature piece in Taskstream and only did it when instructed to do so by the chair of the dept. I would NOT take again

Assignments were unclear & were not contained entirely on the syllabus, meaning you had to review various postings online & emails to make sure you were doing correctly. Used a program he had not used before which was problematic for everyone. Said he would be flexible due to the problems-I was .67 pt away from next grade up, didn't give it to me..

Dr. Sheets was an awesome teacher. His class was my most interesting class that quarter. I came out with an A. He uses the workbook and book for most his tests. If you are vocal during class discussion he will like you.

He's a good teacher. Graduate students taught the class most of the time, but when he taught it was very interesting. The test questions are straight from the book, so you'll have to read...Duh.

If you can just get the study guide and not the book, do that. I got an A using the study guide and never reading the book. Can only miss class twice without penalty. Sheets is intelligent but admits when he does not know something.

Dr. Sheets made the class interesting, I think his lectures were good and the test came from both the book and lecture, and yes, you have to read! Hello?!?! Isn't that part of college? OR everyone would have a degree!

I REALLY enjoyed this class. Aside from his "no one is smarter than me" attitude, he is an extremely likeable guy and he strongly encourages class discussion and that makes class worth coming too. The class was interesting enough to make that hour and 50 min just fly by and that has NEVER happened as long as I have been going to Tech.

I really didn't like the material in this class, but for something I disliked he sure made it pretty easy to squeak by with an acceptable grade. The pop quizes are a pain, but don't happen as often as he will tell you in the beginning.

kinda boring just rambles on and on test can be confusing. not very helpful. read your book notes are not very helpful he post notes very late not in time enough to have for test!

For some reason, I really didn't like social pyschology. Dr. Sheets isn't clear at all on what he wants for homework or other assignments. He gives pop quizes, which suck....all in all, it wasn't THAT bad of a class.

His jokes are so **** and he is very dorky. I missed the first test and he said I had to drop the course. Not helpful when you get into a bind and not too clear on what he wants for assignments.

He does give good notes, but he is very unclear on homework/projects. He did not tell us about an assignment until like the last week of the quarter. If you take his class, just make sure to read the book and get notes off of blackboard.
