He was and is a great professor. He really knows what he's talking about, however he only grades by the four tests you will take. He does do a grading curve that is super helpful. He is not going to be easy but anyone that really wants to learn anything about economics should take him because you will leave the class much more knowledgeable.

If you pay attention and try to understand everything, you should be fine. Make sure you get a good grade on the first test (the easiest one) and you should be fine.

Terrible. If you care about your self esteem and your GPA you will avoid him. Study or not, his exams are nothing like his study guide, and his lectures are long and pointless most of the time. Answering Questions correctly in class doesn't mean you will understand and pass his exams. He only grades you on the four exams you will take throughout the semester and there is no chance to make up any points. Avoid. This. Professor.

4 tests make up your whole grade. Very confusing to understand but a funny lecturer. I have heard that other teachers for microeconomics are easier to understand, so I would suggest taking someone else if you care about your GPA. Expect lots of studying and work outside of class to understand what is being taught.

Dr Perri was a great professor. Don't let people scare you away. He was tough but knows what is talking about. Come to class every day and you will get through the course. Tests come straight from lecture material, however he grades them very harshly. Great professor overall.

Terrible teacher. The thing that bothered me most about him was his phone policy. If he catches you with your phone out, you risk a 50 point penalty on your final grade. Really? Is this high school? I've had professors that don't allow phones in class, but they actually made efforts to teach and get to know us. He just showed up, taught, and left.

Do not take this class. There are only 4 exams that are 25 questions each. He gives out a study guide for each test but the test questions are completely different. Reading the book doesn't really help. His lectures can be confusing and he goes really fast. Don't expect to make a good grade.

Tim Perri is a nice guy, but he is not much of a "teacher." His lectures are long and he zips through the powerpoint at rapid speed, I had to teach myself most of the material. His tests are extremely difficult (nothing at all like the problem sets), and he can get a little rude if you answer something incorrectly or sit in the back 2 rows lol.

Perri is okay for an Econ professor. His lectures are long but he's funny and a lot of times he lets you out early. Attendance isn't required and I missed a portion of classes and still did okay.

Grading scale makes it easy to get an A in the class. 3A + 2B + 2C + D Grade. A being highest test grade, B being second highest, C being third highest, and D being lowest. Get at least 160 points total and that's an A. 4 tests total, could potentially only have to take 3 if you do well enough on the first three tests. Dry humor, not entertaining

If you go to class and read the chapters then you'll be fine. Basically need an 80 to get an A and has an awesome curve. Sometimes examples can be confusing but the chapters in the book usually help.

Perri was pretty scattered when it came to lectures. I went to almost all of the classes and his lectures did not help me at all, I was completely lost. It was nice not having an attendance policy but overall he was awful at explaining the material. His tests were incredibly difficult compared to the online practice exams. I would not recommend him

IF you fail his course you should drop out of college. He makes it so easy to pass with his grading scale you can get 2 F's and 2 Ds' on his four test you take and still pass the class wit ha C average.

Dr. Perri is a great professor, as long as you show up to class, take notes, and study them a couple days before the test you will get an A. The book helps if you need further explanation but Dr. Perri explains it really well in class so the book isn't really necessary.

Dr. Perri is a great teacher. His lectures are very interesting and he makes all of the material easy to comprehend. The tests in which he gives are hard, but if you study the notes from class hard enough you should be able to do just fine. He also assigns problem sets that look very similar to the tests, so completing those will help very much.

I went to class 5 times. Once for syllabus day and the other 4 for the tests. The only grades in the class are his tests and his grading scale makes it pretty hard to fail. I read the text book chapters, the book for this class was an incredibly easy read, and showed up for the tests and did fine.

He grew on me as the semester went on. He only grades on multiple choice exams, no other work, no writing, no extra credit options. Do well on the exams and you do well in his course. Attendance isn't mandatory, but it really really helps. I would honestly take another class of his just because he has no gray areas in grading.

I am taking his intermediate economics class, and he is a pretty good teacher. His exams are short answer, you have 5 to pick from and you have to answer 3. I was not looking forward to this, but honestly it's not bad. Just study the practice problems and memorize those answers because it is pretty much the same answers on the exam. Good luck!

His social skills suck, he's kinda funny but his dry humor is a little too much sometimes... I would not recommend his class if you cant read the text book because you will need it. His slides are confusing and he repeats thing to the point of being obnoxious.
