Comment:

Mrs. Vaughan is the best Math professor at NWACC. I took her for multiple semesters. As an in-person teacher I would recommend her to anyone but DO NOT TAKE HER ONLINE CLASS. Worst experience of my college career. Online she does 0 % of the teaching it's videos from some math program. She is never live with you. Stick to in-person.

Comment:

Ms. Tracy is probably the best math teacher in NWACC. She offer a lot of quizzes, extra exams and will drop the lowest one which really helps boosting your grades. Make sure to take your supporting work seriously or you'll get a penalty.

Comment:

She's great. Lectures are very clear and she assigns homework after every lecture. Responsive to emails. She's also willing to go in depth if you don't understand the algebra behind a step or just don't understand a step in general. She's pretty well organized and not too tough of a grader. Would recommend her for Cal 1 and Cal 2!

Nice teacher. I like that she goes over hw questions at the beginning of class. Only thing is she moves fast between sections, and only gives 1-2 examples per section. Another thing is she closes Mymathlab hw sections not allowing you to improve your score & only gives 3 attempts per ?

Comment:

Mrs. Vaughan is an awesome teacher. She cares and is totally willing to help you outside of class to understand the material. She is accessible through email and she answers any questions you have about the homework at the start of each class period. The material is not easy but she teaches it well. I'm taking her for calculus next semester!

Although she is a great woman personality wise, if you struggle with math like I do, She is not for you. Many times during lecture I would ask questions and she would respond in an unnecessary fashion. The MML homework only gave three attempts on each question, and on reviews there was no question help at all. Overall, not a good professor.

BG. Teaches like she has 400 students. She goes over how to do it with worksheets and the rest is up to you. She uses MY MATH LAB which is the worst math website. PRO. She gives you multiple tries and test and bonus points. CON. You have to fend for yourself and MML is unforgiving. ADVICE. Don't get a hybrid class and if not get a tutor for help.

I took this class over the summer so it was a lot more fast paced than others. Although that is typical for summer courses, it seemed to me as if she didn't care whether her students passed or failed. Everything is graded through MML and the tests are taken in the testing center. Even when sincerely asked for it, extra credit was never an option.

Amazing teacher! You need to go to class and do her homework if you want to pass. Period. She will give 0 f's if you don't. She will bend over backwards to help, if you do. Explains concepts better than any other math professor I have ever had. She is very fair, but you are going to have to work. All around, I highly recommend her.

It's only been a week for this summer semester, but I already love her. Since it's an online class, homework is a mandatory grade, but she's kind to offer similar questions if you miss a point that will help you earn back that missing point; she also lets you take the quizzes (not midterm / final) as many times as you'd like! Highly recommend her!!

DOESN'T GRADE HOMEWORK!!! Although it IS highly recommended for practice, she doesn't take up homework for grades. She allows you to drop one low quiz grade and one low test grade at the end of the semester. At the beginning of each class, she takes time to answer questions about the homework from the previous class. HIGHLY recommend!!

My class was a computer assisted class, so homework was done online, therefore there wasn't much book usage. However, the book was good to have as well because helpful information could be found inside. Homework is not graded, however it is considered mandatory because if you don't do it, you definitely won't pass the class. Overall, great teacher!

Honestly I don't think you could ask for a better Calculus Professor than this. It is Calculus so naturally it is going to be difficult, but she does everything she can to give students the tools and knowledge that they need to pass. Takes a lot of work, but you can do it! Homework not due but do it, your test grade will thank you!

Mrs. Vaughn is a fantastic teacher! She cares about her students success and helps any way she can. You defiantly have to come to class and put in solid effort. She sometimes forgets to open quizzes up in my math lab but is kind about changing due dates. Only bad thing about her is that she only teaches at the Jones Center in Springdale.

She is incredible at teaching Calculus. She'll say the homework is mandatory to pass, but I learn so well in class I could get away with doing about half (but don't tell her that). Tests are to be expected from the homework and past exams which she posts on Blackboard. Can she teach all my math classes?

Mrs. Vaughan is a great teacher who is very knowledgeable. Homework doesn't need to be turned in, but do your homework before going to class because she answers any and all homework questions in class. Her tests are 11 questions which are similar to the homework. She is very caring and wants her students to have a great understanding in math.
