Very nice and funny guy, makes class very interesting with the quality of the discussions that take place, no homework, participation is a lot but its easy to because of the comfort level, only tests, extra credit paper, overall an easy class if you try

i like him a person but hes a terrible professor. all he does is sit in his chair and talks to you about the news. you dont ever get homework, projects or papers. participation in his class counts for alot. nothing you learn in class is on tests.

nice guy, likes current issues, but you have to do the reading to learn all of the stuff that will be on tests. hes big on the bold words in the text and sociologists too. he gives review ?s for each chapter. suckkkks that you need a 96 for an A though. 4 test and thats your avg for the sem...pretty nice guy tho, interesting debates too

He's a pretty cool guy. The class can be boring sometimes he'll just talk about something random for awhile. You don't really have to read but when the test comes study because they are hard. He changes the format for everyone too which is annoying but he's a nice guy and its passable. I got a B.

Dr. Leonard Hughes is an excellent teacher. He really taught me a lot about the world of Sociology. My brother and I had his class back in 1998 or so. He's a real man and a great influence for young students. Hopefully, he will keep teaching a G.C.C. Students will be lucky to take his class! P.S. He looks like Phil Banks from Fresh Prince!!!

this class was a joke. very disappointed in how it was run. take it in the beginning of ur studies bc if u wait, u won't take it seriously bc there are other courses that demand much more attn and REAL time. didn't like that u had to sit and listen to his boring stories. nice guy, but needs to retire - and SOON!

I LOVED HIM..."its a process" is his famous words..I'll admit his tests are hard but as long as your read the chapters(bold words & stories b4 chapters) youll be good..He is always open for discussion, and the oral is EASY..all in all I LOVED HIM..I definitely recommend him!

Class wasn't boring but you definitely may feel tempted to skip class because he talks about local and professional sports for the first hour. Then asks you to open your textbook in the last 20 minutes of class. Great for those who don't mind reading everything at home, bad class for those who actually like learning IN class.

"It' a process" trademark phrase. Great teacher. Loves open discussion. Relates discussion to class by end of period. Know bold type words and chapter summary. Test every 4-5 chapters. No quizzes. Easy book review assignment. Attendence counts. Won't want to miss class anyway. DO NOT MISS review day. I was sad when the semester was over.
