Really good teacher. Practice test help immensely. Homework problems were typically much harder than problems done in class, so they made for great practice.

Dr. Barnier is honestly one of the greatest professors. I took calculus my senior year of high school and took this class right after, so I found it pretty easy. I'm not sure how others felt but I enjoyed his lectures and he is actually a really nice guy and wants you to succeed.

Ask questions! He is very good about going over problems until the class understands it. If you still have questions, go to his office hours. The material is not easy but he is willing to help as much as he is needed. Use the math lab if needed. There is a group writing project that SUCKED. (Make sure you have a good partner or you will fail it.)

Honestly one of the worst teachers I have had. The homework and what he discusses in class has nothing to do with the tests and quizzes. Class is extremely boring to go to and is honestly a waste of time. DO NOT TAKE HIM.

He is a nice guy but his teaching is very difficult to understand. I took pre-calculus in high school and I still didn't understand what he was teaching. There's only 2 quizzes, 3 tests, 1 project and a final that he grades. I suggest not taking this class unless you're a math master.

Mr. Bariner is dry when speaking, I simply couldn't keep my eyes open during the class. He doesn't explain the math well. 3 quizzes, 3 tests, 1 project. HW doesn't count for grade, but if you don't do it and you already struggle with math there is a possiblity of failing. I love math, and this teacher made me want to never take another math class.

Barnier expects you to know your math when he is teaching. He likes to skip steps to a problem and which could be very confusing. If you are a math person and like to read the text book you will do fine in the class; otherwise, take another professor.

He is hard to follow during class. Tends to get dull during class. Tends to have homework then teach it afterwards. I don't recommend this professor

Mathematica is a pretty hard program. He doesn't teach much. Each week you get one or two notebooks to work on. You have a quiz, homework turn ins, a project, and a final. If you choose a good project you'll get into it and like it and finally enjoy Mathematica. Good luck!

Well, I wasn't satisfied with his class. The material could have been presented in a much clearer fashion, however, he was lazy with teaching teqniques and was dull during class. Got the feeling that he knew the material quite well, but had no means of communicating it efficiently to the class. Overall, he is a funny, nice man.

He's a decent teacher but you do the homework then you have the lecture so it's tough. He can be a tough grader and office hours sometimes help. He can be confusing at times.

Dr. B is a very funny old man, you will get a kick out of him. You do need to put in effort for his class, he doesn't like it when you forget things you are supposed know. Great guy, decent teacher.

3 tests, 2 quizes and a final. Has Labs that take about an hour a week to complete. Hard teacher and difficult class. He moves very quickly and expects you to have algebra down. Sign up for the workshop they really help. Its a lot of work, and very time consuming. Hard to pass class, try a different teacher!!!

Calc2 is a pain in the butt, super hard. He doesn't teach very well in the sense that he expects you to understand everything because he is so brilliant. To balance this, he is extremely helpful. If you go to him in his office hours he is always willing to help you with concepts you don't know and homework problems. He's a very likeable person.

Wonderful professor. He is generous with office hours and most helpful when you come to him with questions. Final exam was difficult for the time allowed but I always do math at a snail's pace. I would gladly take more courses from Prof. Barnier.

This is the most awesome professor ever. I had him for seven classes total, so obviously I liked him. He made the material very understandable, and if you look past the monotone he is sooo funny. He is also really helpful outside of class. I totally recomend him, but like in all math classes you will have to work.

I Loved Barnier. He was funny, easy to get along with, very helpful, and good at explaining stuff. The only thing I didt like is that I would do ALL my HW and would go into the final with a A-/B+ then the final would be SOOO hard that I'd end up with a C in the class.
