I LOVE professor Analisa! You can tell she truly cares about her students academically and emotionally. She wants her students to succeed, she is even willing to look over your composiciones before you hand them in. Although there is online homework every day, the homework is relatively easy and you can work ahead if you want.

Comment:

Having Profesora Degrave was a little intimidating, yet she was still nice. She does care about your learning and the cultural aspect of many Spanish-speaking countries, and I have learned a lot within just the semester. There can be a lot of online homework, but it is all great practice and helps to understand new tenses and vocab.

Comment:

Super sweet, love her. The only annoying thing is how much homework there is on the supersite. You'll have an average of 3 assignments per night. I oftentimes just put them off for a couple nights because the late penalty isn't that bad. Great teacher though, good feedback, really nice and funny.

Very kind and caring professor. Lots of homework online almost every day, but it is easy and manageable. Gives review sheets before tests and explains things very well. Overall super reasonable!

Comment:

She is a nice person. But she loves to say "Entonces" every 45 seconds and it gave me a a big headache. Similar to most people who speak the Spanish-she talks really fast and then the train never slows down enough hop back in if you get lost. The online homework is busy work. Plus side- She does go thru the paper assignments in class. Toss up

Analisa is amazing! She cares about her students and wants to see everyone succeed. She gives lots of work time in class on compositions and presentations, so students can ask questions. There are many different resources provided to help with studying outside of class.

I loved Analisa. She made me love my major even more and made the learning fun. She's very personable with her students and cares so much about the well being of everyone. She makes you learn, but in a way that is easy to comprehend. One of my best Spanish classes thus far. I hope to take another classes by her again before I leave UWEC.

Comment:

Whether you're a Spanish major or just taking it for the retrocredits, Professora Analisa is a good choice. The online homework homework assignments are annoying, but the tests and writing assignments aren't difficult at all. She's very approachable with questions and wants to make sure everyone really understands the material. Would recommend.

DeGrave was one of my favorite professors. She teaches incredibly well and I was able to understand a lot of the material. When we wrote our compositions, she was very good about having us write a first draft so we could fix our mistakes and then writing a second. If you show up to class and pay attention, you'll do fine.

Analisa is super nice & cares about the success of her students. She took time to read through & correct everything we wrote. That said, I learned most of the info in my HS classes, and was very bored during class every day. I think her explanations could be clearer and her class time used more efficiently. Amazing person, pretty good professor.

Analisa is great. She really cares about her students, and we all love chatting with her. We do a lot of online homework, but it's not too bad. She's great at responding to concerns or comments. Extra credit if you go to different Spanish-themed events. A great choice for a spanish teacher.

Professor DeGrave is absolutely one of the best professors at UWEC. If you can take her class, do so! She acknowledges that students make mistakes while learning a new language, and she is super supportive if you mess up. She gives great feedback and is very approachable. Highly recommend!

Analisa is a wonderful professor that teaches a challenging course. Sure, the workload felt like a lot but if you keep on top of it all you'll do fine. I love Dr. DeGrave. Her classes are very interesting and she really cares about her students. Exams/quizes are given back the next class period. She expects a lot out of her students but also makes sure she is on top of things as well. Best professor!!

Loved DeGrave. Sometimes I wish I was a Spanish or LAS major just so I could have another class with her. Exams are MC and pretty straight-forward. Remember your clicker for easy points, and just pay attention in class.

Profesora DeGrave teaches one of the best Spanish classes ever! Her teaching is really integrated in discussions and it just made the content extremely interesting. I've never come out of a class with such an enlightened and developed perspective on things before. If I had more time I would totally take another class with her. Just awesome.

This class is a BEAST. That being said, she's a great professor to have for it. She knows her stuff, is excited about it and does her best to get you excited about it too. High expectations, but very willing to offer help to meet them.
