Paul is not only the best professor I ever had but the best person I have ever met. He casually and unconsciously imparts some wisdom every single class. So genuine and caring and helped me look at poetry in a new way.

The MOST amazing, genuine, caring professor Ive had in my entire life. I dont normally like English classes, but I loved every second of this one. He is so open minded and made me love poetry. I cannot say enough about how much I love Paul and his class. I feel so fortunate to have had a class with him!

Comment:

Paul was excellent. He really cares about the success of his students, and will always take the time to meet outside of class to help you with your writing. The assigned readings were very interesting, and the class discussions were fun. I would highly recommend Paul for anyone who needs to take Seminar in Composition.

An experimental and incredibly exciting course. He dedicated the "work" of the semester to "recovering" the literature and criticism that we read in context of the author as a "real person" so that we (readers) could similarly experience the texts in some useful, personal way. From our personal work, contemporary critical theory "e/merged"!

Paul Kameen is a very enjoyable teacher! I looked forwards to going to his class because he was always helpful, kind, and cheerful. The writing is not too heavy for the type of class. He focuses on revision process. Only thing I dislike was that 70% of your grade comes from one paper - I thought is would be better to break the grade up more!

Dr. Kameen is a wonderful teacher-I would recommend this class to anyone who loves literature, ESP. if you are interested in teaching. He genuinely cares about your progress and will allow extensions if it is clear that you are a hard worker. He truly believes in collective inquiry and the socratic method. Class discussion is key.

Under Paul's tutleage, my writing has grown exponentially; for that I'm grateful. He realizes that deadlines for finished pieces (that is, before the writer is finished with it) are absurd for even the professional writer, let alone the amateur. He cares about his students and the evolution of their writing. Best writing instructor I've ever had.
