We are given daily quizzes which I personally like since it gives us a chance to see what we really know. However, the quizzes are 15 questions, you have 4 minutes. Yes you read that right, 4 minutes. For 15 questions. Covid is making things hard right now, but there is no reason to structure a course like that

Miele is amazing and incredibly knowledgeable. She knows more than any of the teachers in the nursing program and she ought to be running it.

Comment:

This class is very difficult but if you put in the work you can pass. Studying overnight is a must!! The lecture exams are A LOT harder than the lab practicals. I really enjoyed this class and would take Miele again.

Comment:

Miele is without question the most competent instructor at ACC. Like others have said, she teaches these courses to a higher standard. If you want easy, you're not gonna find it here, but you'll learn a lot. If you're trying to get into the nursing program, an A in her class is a huge red flag for acceptance. If you do well, you earned it.

Comment:

Professor Miele made Human Anatomy and Physiology accessible and interesting. I learned so much and really enjoyed the class. Her syllabus is also incredible, if you read it it has all the questions you need to be able to answer right in it. Tests are hard, but if you study you will do well!

Miele is literally the best professor at ACC. there is no way to make anatomy and physiology easy but she makes it funny and interesting. She's willing to help you if you ask and put in the effort. Highly Highly recommended!!!!

This is a very hard class but she tells you exactly what you need to know to do well. She tells you what you need to do to get the grade that you want. I was very interested in these classes and she is a great professor!

Do not take this class with her. Take it online. She makes the class way too tricky and way too hard and assumes that you already know everything. Only take this class if you're not taking any other classes because you will have no social life. (i had a 3.9gpa before this class She assumes you have time to study all day everyday. AVOID AT ALL COST!

Miele was a good teacher; no way to make A&P easy but she didn't make it harder than it had to be. STUDY for the labs BIG TIME. know everything; they will save you! read read read as well and you will do perfectly fine :)

the course took a lot of effort but no one can learn all of that info without tons of study time. I bio107 and 108 over the summer and it was brutal but I put the time in. I thought the teacher was interesting and helpful

By far the worst professor I have ever had. If you fall even a little bit behind don't expect her to help you catch up. Super rude when I tried to ask her questions after class. You are far better off taking the class online through SUNY Cayuga.

Best professor I had at SUNY Adirondack. Tough, but fair. The course consumes your life, but that's Anatomy and Physiology, not her. Her lectures kept me awake at 8:00 in the morning. Liked her as a person, too.

I see a lot of comments of people saying "avoid her!". I absolutely recommend her. She is very clear on what you need to know. She may be tough (and its mainly the course that is tough...) but she IS fair. If you simply pay attention and put the time and effort in, an A is obtainable and you will learn so much. Excellent professor.

Worst professor I have had. I didn't feel like I could ask her for help at all and when I tried to she made me feel stupid and acted like she didn't have time to help. Was more focused on boosting the confidence of students in the "A" range than helping people struggling with the class. If you can avoid her do at all cost.

Do not take this professor! Tests and quizzes are poorly worded and very tricky. She is not approachable at all and is not willing to help. Most people in my class were taking A&P with her for a second time because most fail her class...avoid having her as a professor at all cost. I Loved anatomy until I had her...

Great Teacher. Her lectures are fairly clear and she tells you exactly what you need to learn. Her grading is very simple, tells you when your exams and quizzes are. She makes the class interesting because of her sense of humor.

Comment:

Miele is a true professor. Dont expect this to be any easy class or for any special treatment just because you are a returning adult student and "serious". This professor is tough and treats everyone exactly the same. However, she is an excellent teacher. You need to read the chapters as you are going through class or you will be lost.

Comment:

An excellent teacher and a very interesting class. If you do well in Prof. Miele's classes, you can feel proud. She doesn't water it down, she doesn't teach to the test. She's the real deal and a role model for other teachers. She works as hard as students do. She's willing to help, but you have to do the work. Go see her if you're having problems.
