Comment:

Ben is one of the most personable, passionate and well respected professors I've ever had. He really makes you think about your art more and gives good, hearty crits. All of the projects I did in his class were extremely fun but also challenged me and helped me grow. His classes ain't easy but that's why they're great!

Great guy. Good sense of humor, gives good feedback. Passionate about art. Very understanding and patient with his students. But BEWARE!! The class is DIFFICULT!! From day one he tells you he compares your piece to every other piece ever submitted, and he's not kidding. He expects all pieces to be done in one six-hour long sitting. No way, man!

Ben's the greatest, honestly. The projects slaughtered me and I spent a good 5 all-nighters working on the projects, but it was worth it. The fabrication techniques taught are super helpful and Ben's a very understanding guy. Fun to have, class discussions on work days can get interesting.

One of the best teachers I've ever had. Unlike most in the class, I took it as an interested ECON major and thought it was difficult, but very rewarding. Ben was fun, helpful, and his projects ranged from good to excellent.

Ben is the most amazing teacher in the university! He is always engaging and tries his best to make sure every class is as entertaining as the one before. I REALLY wish he taught upper level courses because I would take every single one! Coolest guy. Hands down.

He only allows 3 missed classes but when you miss a class you realize how much you missed and how much you have to catch up on. he is very into detail like the tiny little things that you have to really pay attention to. I would take a class of his again if it fit into my schedule. he is only teaching on tuesdays and thursdays though

Hands down one of the best teachers I've ever had, period. I don't really know what level I would be at in my art education at this point if I hadn't had him as a teacher. Phenomenal teacher, artist, and person in general. Genuinely cares about his students. Wish he taught more than foundations so I could take more of his classes!

1 of the best art professors I've had! His class is all about being creative, determining a message or purpose for projects, and how well the presentation fits that. He also doesn't bombard you with projects like other art classes, which makes balancing classwork easier. And he makes class very fun. He'll yell at you to get your mind in the gutter
