He gives no rubrics for any assignments, contradicts the textbook, has no modern day industry experience references, is rude to students, won't answer questions, VERY unclear as what we will be tested on, only talks about himself and what he has done, also told my class if we didn't purchase the textbook we get -20pts on our final, cant rent it.

There is SO much talk about him and how he is not the greatest, but he really is a great guy! Do your is expected of you plus a little more, and he will LOVE you! This man has connections and knowledge, he cares about our industry and wants his student to succeed! He keeps in contact with you for years to come! TAKE PROFESSOR JARVIE!!

Professor Jarvie is THE best professor at JWU. He does not teach at JWU for money or for a job. He teaches here because he wants the industry as a whole to be better, which is why he only teaches the future CEOs of the industry. I will miss him greatly. He gives you the tools to success which is why I gave him a 5 on easiness. Follow these tools!

Best Teacher at Johnson and Wales. Get on his good side and he will guide you to success. Took him for three classes to date and have gotten A+'s in all of them. Very experienced in the industry and has connections all over! If you take college seriously take this guy, if you want to breeze through the class without doing any work do not take

Awesome teacher ive had him 3 times and im taking him for my fourth everyone who gave him a bad rating is an idiot YOU HAVE TO LEARN ON YOUR OWN problem solving skills are a must in this industry an if you cant figure something out then go jump off a bridge GREAT TEACHER never regret taking his classes ever

If you know nothing about the FSM industry do not take him. I am an SEE major and he was the worst teacher I have had in the past 3 years. Does not teach nor does he care. I had a 4.0 GPA until I took this class. I am smart yet he made me feel like the stupidest person on the planet. If you work in the f&b industry he will love you. If not, AVOID!

I had him for Summer 4060 which isn't an easy class to begin with. Our class was small so that made it a little easier. But all I can really say is do exactly like he says and stay on his good side and you will do well in the class and in your career because he has so many connections he will help find you a job in your career

Jarvie is a funny teacher. He does jeopardy reviews before tests and as long as you do the work you'll be fine i got an A+ in his class. ps if you don't know your conversion table learn it you will need it!

Jarvie's a nice guy if you ever take the time to stay after with him. However there is only one word to desribe him, and that is: Lazy! I say this because he knows the material he teaches so well, that he speeds through it and doesn't allow anyone to catch up, when you ask for help, he rolls his eyes as if its a pain for him to do it.

Professor Jarvie is absolutly the worst professor ever. I thought no one could get worse than my one teacher in high school, but he is 10x worse than him. If you ask him a question, beware. He gets mad if you do this. He does not explain anything to you, and he does not give you time to copy notes. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!
