Professor McNutt makes her lectures super interactive with videos, role playing, etc. She incorporates different teaching methods to appeal to all types of learners. Lab is fun and informational. She has one group project about infectious disease (easy A). Each exam, she offers up to 5 extra credit pts for doing study guides. Take Micro w/ her!!!

I had McNutt for the hybrid biology class, which means we only met once a week for a test and lab. She always went over the material that would be on the quiz beforehand. She has passion for biology and is great at teaching it. She made herself available for help outside of class, and genuinely cares that her students succeed in the class.

Comment:

Microbio is a course that is very in depth/detail. Prof McNutt is a great lecturer with an upbeat attitude! She gives clear examples of her expectations are she will provide great explanations to any questions you have! She grades fair! Go to class- PAY ATTENTION, skim the book/review the slides later, DO THE STUDY GUIDES, and you can get an A!

Absolutely loved being in Professor McNutt's class. She really is so passionate about microbiology and wants to see her students succeed! I learned so much from being in her class. As long as you go to class and do the work you will be fine. No need to purchase the textbook if you pay attention during lecture and take good notes. 100% recommend!

This was my first college class and I loved it! She takes time to review before a test and will thoroughly go through any questions you have. Her power points are extremely helpful especially with the lecture being on your own learning. She is dedicated to making sure you understand the information and that you can apply it. Great caring teacher!

By far one of the best professors I've ever had. She really wants you to do successful. There is no homework, but make sure to spend time studying. For ever test she gives out a review packet that is 5 extra credit points for that test. Not only do you get extra credit, but doing the review will give you an A-B. awesome teacher, and is so caring!!

Professor McNutt is an awesome professor. I took Microbiology (BIOL 243) with her and had a great experience. Her lectures were informative, not drawn out, organized, and she also has a fun sense of humor. You do need to study for her exams but she comes up with review study guides that are very helpful. Overall, I would take her class again!

She is nice, however I personally dont like being stuck on a classroom which is why I took hybrid but she loves to keep you until the very last minute of class and fills every minute with random talk. When she reviews its over the top which makes the subject very confusing. Its a hit or miss if youll like her teaching style or not. Not for me.

Professor Mcnutt is hands down the best instructor I have had. She made Micro so fun to learn. Her lectures are all powerpoint and she gives you copies of them. This professor makes sure all your questions are answered and any confusion is solved. The Assistant instructor was also very helpful and I would highly recommend it.

She is a great professor. You can tell she really cares about her students and wants you to succeed. As long as you study you should do good. Keep up with lab work so you don't fall behind and don't procrastinate. You will not do well if you put things off last minute because it is a lot of material. Study guides really help!!!

She is really passionate about her work & has a great sense of humor. Highly prepared, one of my best professors. She goes above & beyond to help students understand course material and she made microbiology very accessible through games & role-playing. She gives you the tools you need to be successful. Great professor. Study guides for every test and are extra credit. Lab unknown project was difficult but you get step-by-step instructions. Course is laid out perfectly in syllabus. Easy to pass if you put in the effort. Book was extremely helpful but not needed. I would highly recommend!

I used to hate biology but McNutt has helped me to understand the concepts more. I took her hybrid class which met once a week and was partially online. I would recommend to anyone who isn't the biggest fan of biology. It can be time consuming but studying a little each day pays off. She offers plenty of extra credit and is very helpful.
