Comment:
Professor Cory has been my favorite professor at St. Thomas. She is so caring of her students and always checks in on us. She is the kindest woman and she gives great lectures and wants to make sure you understand the information she is teaching. Her class is lecture heavy with 10 quizzes and 3 papers and no tests. The papers are relatively easy.

You can tell Dr. Cory cares about her class but her class is not engaging. She literally takes blocks of the Bible and puts in on PowerPoint and just reads through them and their meaning. However, she has no tests and instead opts for frequent quizzes, Canvas posts, and papers. Easy A but not a great class environment.

Dr. Cory was the most helpful professor I have had so far. You can e-mail her your papers and she will revise them with suggestions. If you make her revisions, you can get all points on the paper. The class consists of 3 exams, 3 papers, short homework assignments, and about 5 quizzes.

pretty good, very easy, and accomadating to non-catholics- but if you already know even a little about the bible you won't learn much

I had Cory for THEO101, and I had absolutely NO religious experience prior to this class, but Cory made it really easy and understandable for me. She also gives lots of extra credit opportunities and offers help on essays. She can be really awkward at times and kind of boring, but overall, shes a good teacher.

I had her for Old Testament and she treated the class like it was a graduate level class. She's very nice, but the work load and tests are ridiculously hard

Dr. Cory is an awesome prof and really has great knowledge of theology. Tests tend to be a bit challenging, but Dr. Cory is always willing to accomodate to each student. I highly recommend taking her classes.

Pros: nice personality; test study guide has all questions test does; two simple projects; sticks to important concepts/stays away from unecessary topics; PowerPoint's have all the lecture info. Cons: online reading guide questions due before every class; Lots of dense and time consuming reading!

She was helpful and knew a lot about the new testament. The class was not too boring, but she did make us do research for the book she was writing.
