Tests are very tricky. Not unlikely that a test can be almost entirely based off of something he mentioned for a few minutes in lecture. Pop quizzes are easy, but completely random. If possible take in the spring with John Bowler. Better book, and an excellent instructor.

His Tests catch you off guard, you really need to know the stuff. Homework is not that bad, you only get 10% taken off if its a week late. Nice guy.

The worst prof I've ever had, barr-none. Tests were tricky and unexpected. Course was terribly unorganized. Had 4 tests and the last 3 (including final) were within 2 weeks of each other.
