Comment:
This will not give you a compassionate and honest understanding of the psychology of addiction. That is not what D Trujillo knows or cares about. If you are just looking for an easy A and some knowledge to further misunderstand and dehumanize the oppressed and "fight" the "War on Drugs" (see: war on people) as a narc or PO, this will do it.

This is the worse professor ever I've taken!! Power points are not posted online. Students are learning from the documentaries that we watch in every class. Secondly, the study guides are not helpful for the exams which is a big percentage of your grade. Attendance is 100 points!! He did not have any sympathy about my situation what so ever.

This is actually my least favorite class I am taking and it's the one I decided to take for fun. In all actuality, if he didn't take away points for not showing up, I wouldn't even show up for anything other than tests. The PowerPoints are the book material verbatim. The tests are poorly written and are of all sorts of obscure, unimportant details.

This professor is down to earth. He is realistic, straight forward and gives many scenarios for the material. He does show many videos but they all relate to the subjects. I did not read the book because it was all in the lectures.

if you want to learn anything from the professor I wouldn't take his addiction studies course. He doesn't answer questions well and when he does he acts like your stupid. He shows way to many videos and doesn't go over what's on his tests, that's left to you and your book. didn't care for him and didn't learn much at all.

Awesome professor! Gives personal experiences for his examples when he can. Only two 3 page papers and 6 quizzes plus midterm and final. Gives lots of extra credit. Allows more absences than most professors

40 percent lecture, 40 percent textbook, 20 percent video. Expect to have a grad school experience if you take Trujillo's class. If your looking to get into law enforcement and want to learn as much as possible, Trujillo is the class you want to take. This professor gives out extra credit. One note card during tests, and study guide is given

Hated the class... attendance is worth 100 points and there is no such thing as excused abesences. If you're sick and you miss (even if you have a note) you will still get docked 25 points. Then 25 more for the next absence and so on. He's also horrible at responding to e-mails and his office is not on campus. Save yourself the trouble.

He is one of the best instructors i have met. He is very clear, organized, some what humorous, and doesnt waste time with useless information. He does tend to move along with his powerpoints but all the notes are in the textbook. Has plenty of stories. He allows a note card for exams. And gives plenty of extra credit. Would definitely reccomend.

Great Teacher! Very experienced in the field, interesting stories and helpful powerpoints. He allows an index card for quizzes, which are all multiple choice, and he is generous with extra credit. One of my favorite classes and teacher!

VERY BASIC PROFESSOR. EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW IS IN THE BOOK SO BRING IT TO CLASS BECAUSE HE DOES FLY THROUGH THE SLIDES. WITH THE QUICK NOTES I GOT AND ANSWERING THE STUDY GUIDES I GOT AN A. NOT A HARD CLASS. ENOUGH EXTRA CREDIT TO BUMP UP A GRADE AND SHOWING UP TO CLASS HELPS!

An overall pretty coo teacher and his class is easy to pass. His lectures are entertaining, except he uses powerpoint but runs through them fast. I hate that he hands out the study guides right before the test, doesnt give time to study and comprehend(if u work). And the research paper he assigns 3 weeks before the end of school is SUPER POINTLESS!

He basically reads from the book during his lectures, he uses powerpoint and goes over it quickly because he says you don't need to write it down because it's all in the book. So what is the point of coming to class? Having the book read to you and to watch movies and yet if you miss one class you lose 15 points. Study guides are useless for tests!

Awesome Professor, strict on attendance...hands out study guides like the rest of the Administration of Justice classes. He gives out extra credit like every week so if you're the type that's absent a lot that's your chance to make up your lost attendance points(if you're not absent the day he gives the extra credit).
