Murray is a very nice, funny professor- lectures are entertaining. Everything you need to know for the semester is laid out for you on the course website. Very accessible and willing to help students with any questions. As it is a 4-credit hour course, it is a lot of work. Budget your time for the homeworks and you'll do well.

This class as a whole is a MESS. It is the first year implementing Salesforce and no one knows what is going on including the TA's. Apparently no one was aware that the homeworks build on each other so don't mess up the first one and USE THE SAME PLAYGROUND. Murray is also very boring. The material seems easy but the exams are unnecessarily hard.

The material itself wasnt that hard, watch the lectures and you'll do fine on the exams. The group project ended up being a lot of work which could be annoying. His homeworks weren't all that helpful either but there's only 5 spread throughout the semester. He's a cool guy who will help you when needed but this class won't be fun for for everybody

Professor Murray is really excellent. He's funny, engaging, understanding and clear. This course is not super easy especially because it's being updated right now, but Professor Murray teaches really well.

If you can get another teacher, This is his first year with a new classwork program and theres so many issues students have. I get half credits on many homework because of glitches and it makes mistakes that affect future homework grades too.

He's a really good professor. If you stay up on lectures and study the material, you'll do fine, not a very hard class. Don't expect to binge all the lectures though and do well. Be careful as he will pull small things out of lecture on the exam. Take the practice exams, the questions are very similar to the actual exam.

He's passionate about what he teaches. A lot people said his class is tedious due to the coursework (learning MS Access from scratch) but if you're into technology as much as he does, it does not feel tedious at all. Approachable outside class, funny guy, and probably one of the best profs in school of management.

One of the best professors I've had at UB. You can tell he is really passionate about what he teaches. The material is challenging at times but still worth taking if you have Murray.

One of the best professors I've ever had. He gives you the textbook (which he wrote) and in that there's only like 2 pages of actual reading and then the rest of the chapter is just the guided homework, really not hard to follow at all. Take good notes because all of the exam material is in the lectures!!

His exams are heavy lecture based. Just make sure to watch the lectures before exam. There is a group project involved, but it's relatively easy because it's based of homework. There is homework once a week. Make sure to give yourself time for this. DO the HOMEWORK! He DOES NOT TAKE LATE ASSIGNMENTS.

Great, great professor. You'll need to put time into studying but Murray makes the material very clear. And it is a four credit class after all.

Prof Murray was great! Exams are very fair if you study a normal amount. Homeworks are easy but time-consuming. The group-project is easy but kinda annoying. Recitation is mandatory but very short. Microsoft access is used throughout the course so be ready to learn that (it doesn't work on mac). Overall not a bad course.

This class is required for students in UB SOM. It is time consuming and tedious. Watch the lectures very carefully and store the things he tests on in your short term memorya lot of what is tested on is not actionable information. The group project is a good opportunity for real world problem solving Pray that you get a good group though.

In order to get an A, you have to pay attention to everything he mentions in his lecture. His opinion and slides that you dont think is that important will come up in the exam, for example, a quotation on a slide. If you watch lectures again you will know every on the exam is on the lectures. So please take good notes!

This class is for those who don't know basic programming or what HTML/CSS is. My biggest criticism is he teaches you some really bad industry practices! VBA is useless outside of Microsoft Products and I despise required recitation. The PHP stuff is useful but you can learn that on Codecademy (which he uses). Don't buy textbook, google it! save $$$

I took this class because it was required for Accounting majors and I don't understand why it is. The class is very heavily slanted toward being a technology class, with the occasional use of Microsoft Access. Group project is tedious, but manageable. Study the practice exams, his slides, and take notes on random things he says because he tests it.

Three exams and group project makeup around 2/3 of your grade. Exams aren't crazy difficult if you do the practice exam and watch lecture. Group project is graded pretty easily if you do all the work (it is a good amount of work). Overall easy professor to watch and not get bored. Definitely a class you can get an A in if you put the effort in.
