I took this special topics class with Professor Bishop as Criminal Profiling. He can be very intimidating, and the first test is also very intimidating. The best advice I can give is that if you attend class regularly, do all of your work and show him that care, you will end up with a good grade, regardless of the actual math.

Comment:

Great Professor. Attendance is Mandatory he does notices, make sure you keep up with the notebook and articles (KEEP YOUR NOTEBOOK ORGANIZED- BIG % of your GRADE). Pay attention to his SLIDES *take good notes* Tests are logical, short and difficult but you can manage with great notes. Personality is AWESOME, Recommended. My final grade A.

A good bit of article work and in-class debate. Attendance is mandatory, notices who comes to class, keep your notebook/articles organized as they will be graded at the end of the course. Tough grader - tests are short and difficult. Gory material - love it! He has a wild personality and is a wonderful professor. Recommended.

Exellent professor. He is what professors need to be. Very knowlegable, treasure trove of real world experience. His grading is tough, but you will not leave that class not knowing the subject in hand. 110% recommend his Criminal Profiling course if you get the chance to take it.

Do not recommend this teacher at all. Poor organization. Often absent from class. Manner of communication with the class is poor at best. Students feel they are being interrogated instead of being taught. No text used. Class feels very disjointed between lack of clear information from him, lack of his attendance and poor communication skills.

I do NOT recommend this class. Bishop is a nice guy, but not a good teacher. His instructions are not clear and his tests are incredibly difficult. He does have a lot of experience in the CJ field though.

Bishop is a good teacher. He is so funny sometimes and has a very relaxed classroom environment. I love his class. I look forward to going to his class everyday and I'm always upset when it's over. He really knows the material.
