I studied as a private student for many years (10+ years). It was a highlight of my growing up, and I can say that besides being a great pianist, he is a GREAT teacher and knows how to make a hard concept easy to understand. He teaches you technique, and musicality, brings humor & discipline. Privileged and honored to have been a student.

HE'S THE BEST!!! Anyone who gets a chance to study with Dr. Humpherys should feel extremely priveleged and honored, he's an incredibly devoted teacher and an amazing human being.

After 3 years of studying with him, I can say that he is the most intelligent and musical teacher ever. Dr. Humpherys deserves much more recognition. He cares about students with such warmth and love. He is extremely knowlegeble and funny. You will not regret it, if you study with him
