Favorite class hands down. It's a mistake not to take his intro class.

He is by far my favorite teacher that I have had at Tulane so far. The man is intelligent, well read, interesting, open-minded, and downright hilarious. if you pay attention and do the reading its an easy class, and his intro class is incredible.

Sure the class was easy but it was a 394 level and it was taught like a 100. If you are interested in actually learning, this guy is horrible and stubborn if you challenge his simplistic understanding of the material. I dont think he really gets modern philosophy, he's caught up on ancient phil thats just not right.

Legitimately cool guy. I've taken him twice (Self, Art), received 2 A's, and would do it again. Daily 1-2 question quizzes for attendance (readings important). Gives you the questions that will be on the exam verbatim so you can prepare your essays. Final is usually a first-person paper about your thoughts on a specific problem. Take this teacher!

Great teacher for an intro class, he explains everything very thoroughly and in a manner that anyone would understand. Reading on avg of about 5 pages a night and usually a quiz, but easy stuff. He says what he wants for his essay tests, and his paper options were cool. Also available just about anytime, too. All around awesome guy.

Excellent teacher. Makes philosophy comprehensive for all, and explains philosophical ideas without belitting the intelligence of students (as some other TU philosophy teachers do). The class is quite interesting and examines a broad array of philosophical concepts. Make sure to go to class, because participation and quizzes are significant.

Great teacher, very straightforward about what he wants on the tests. Topics are very interesting/relevant, but you have to show up to class. Gives a lot of daily quizzes but if you do the reading, they are easy. Fun class that is pretty easy, nightly reading is very short.

Yeah this class is not very hard, but it's pretty inspiring if you actually do the readings and get into them. He's a really good teacher and a really nice guy, and the tests seem really fair. And there's usually no homework and only 5 pages of reading per night. It's good. Take this class.

This is an excellent teacher. He was clear in class and although some of the reading were hard to get through, he explained them well afterwards. His tests and assignments are fair, and his few homework excersises were really innovative and interesting. I highly recommend this course.
