Awful teacher. She didn't even teach sociology she just rambled on about her own life. I should have gotten an A in this class but I didn't due to her poor teaching.

Highly dissatisfactory teacher. Not much more I can say that hasn't been said before. Perfect attendance, did all homework and extra credit, did everything assigned and studied despite lack of study guides. Got a 95% on mid-term, well on final. Fully deserved an A, not happy with the A- I got. 4.0 student. Do not take this class... For the love...

Terrible, she frequently made up "facts", and would rarely ever actually teach or clarify. her classes were literally just her rambling along in a very thick accent without making any effort to clarify her statements. There are two benefits to her classes: 1. You have to do no work to receive a B, and 2. You don't meet on Fridays. Otherwise - awful

completely awful. I had to retake this class due to a scheduling conflict and got her the second time around. She doesn't seem to have a clue what she's talking about, she's hard to understand, and absolutely none of her 'teaching' is teaching. all we did for class was summarize every chapter in the textbook. awful, awful teacher.

She is by far the worst professor I have ever had in college. She lectures based on her personal experiences and doesnt teach anything relating to the subject. She was very rude and unwilling to work with me when I came to her after class. She is very difficult to understand, is not clear about her assignments and is picky when it comes to grading.

She is completely impossible to understand. She spends the whole class rambling about nothing but yet is extremely strict about attending class. She gives no feedback on assignments until the class is over, but yet grades harshly, giving you no opportunity to correct any wrongdoing. I recommend her to no one ever.

She is a horrible professor. Although she clearly knows at least a little about sociology she can not teach. She puts up a random slid and stands up there and rambles. Then, after not teaching, she expects you to know very specific details on exams.

Hard to understand. Her "lectures" consisted of whatever she saw on the news last night. Rambles on about nothing and expects you to know "lecture" material when exam time comes. I never complain about professors but worst I have had in 3 years of college.

I went to this class excited over the material. Unfortunately, this class never discussed soc, it was just stories about her. People skipped class the whole quarter and had the attendance cards signed by students. I had a 98% on my midterm, A on my paper, 100% attendance, and an A on my final, but received a B because she did't like my presentation

She is difficult to understand when speaking, and if you ask her to repeat herself she presents an attitude that is abrasive. Overall, you become your own instructor because she fails to do her part as a guide and professor.

I liked her as a professor. It was probably one of the easiest classes I have ever taken. I was so glad to have taken it from her. A lot of my friends complain about how hard their sociology class is at the main campus and I was lucky to get mine out of the way with an easy teacher! But, you still don't do much everyday and can get boring

Everyday is the same in this class. 1. She gives extra credit, and she will ask the someone in the class to present their extra credit, and nobody in the class will. 2. If its a snow day, expect an irrelevant assignment. 3. She hates Obama, and talks about him everyday. 4. Don't waste your money on the book, when everything you need is on google!

This class is a joke. I can't believe the university lets her teach. She is very difficult to understand because of her accent. She will not post power points nor give you time to write them down in class. You must rely totally on the book. Also students don't know what assignements are due nor when.

This class was an absolute joke. We would advance one slide a day in the powerpoint she presented to the class and would focus on irrelevant topics to the course. Many of these interviews say she is nice, but she has absolutely no control over a class. It is amazing she has obtained a doctorate in the US and still cannot speak the language.

This woman has no business teaching at all. She goes off on totally random subjects and RARELY lectures about anything. You might cover 1 definition per class (max). Total waste of tuition money. I go to college to learn...if I want to hear about local news stories (like Auyang talks about), I will watch the news. K, thanks.

If you're the kind of student who needs the instructor to hold your hand through the course than she's not for you. Be an adult and get the fundamentals from your books and then apply your practical intelligence with the examples she gives in class. Its actually much more interesting, you know with how she allows you to form your own OPINIONS.

I loved Dr. Auyang's course. She allowed everyone to share personal experiences and get credit for independent research. I never missed a class because I liked all of the topics we covered.
