Comment:

The text book covers law while the professor covers application of these laws. The class is not difficult, but the gaggle of downloaded documents are critical to course understanding. Due dates will often be extended AFTER you've put in time and effort to hit the original dates. He does offer feedback to assignments before turning in for credit.

Comment:

The lectures are boring, you can't miss more than 6 classes but he doesn't take attendance everyday. There is group project but he lets you fix any mistakes for more points. There are two tries for every quiz. most tests are online. The final was split up into two parts, half open book. Lots of extra points and he rounds final grade up.

SABA meetings were decent. Professor gave plenty of practice questions for exams. 3 papers (2 group, 1 individual) which you submitted 1st two assignments for feedback, make updates, and submit final. 1st exam was paper (50% M/C or T/F and 50% essay), final was all electronic (M/C). Lots of reading but what do you expect from a graduate class

Get ready to read. You must submit papers early to do well here. He will prograde and provide feedback and edits. If you do this and keep you quiz grades night you will do well. The exams come directly from the quizzes, but the essay and short answer sections are subjective. Just stick to his formula and keep it brief. He doesn't want extra words.

You most likely won't know when he's talking or when he's lecturing. If you like teaching yourself classes by book and online then this is the class for you. There's a deceptive course project to turn in and be prepared to not have an idea of when test will be and what they will contain. I missed 4 days and got a 0 for attendance as well.

Professor Holloway is a nice guy but not a very good teacher. Lack of clarity on deadlines and material on quizzes and tests. He is there to help if you ask for it. Make sure you get in a good group for the group project.

Summer DE Grad Class - shifting deadlines and lack of clarity. In some cases, the deadline changed during his virtual class sessions. Pick a good group and get ahead on the paper and ask him questions. Cut through the wordiness on the group case assignments and let the examples be your guide.

I could never pay attention in class because its so boring. I basically had to teach myself the whole course because he's so confusing. The online tests and quizzes, and the group project saved my grade. I was stressed the whole semester because he isn't clear on deadlines, instructions, or what will actually be on the test.

Nice guy, but probably the worst professor ive had. class is so boring you cant pay attention, you dont know what notes to take bc all he does is ramble. his only attempt to keep your attention are making jokes that arent funny. somewhat helpful if you ask. Only reason I got a B is bc most of the info is common sense & online quizzes and test.

Nice guy, means well, but for the love of god, I've sat in this mans classroom day in and day out and he never makes any sense. He just rambles on and on. It's like he expects us to know stuff that we shouldn't know. Once again, Nice guy, terrible professor.

DE/Fall Got an A. This class is painfully boring. Deadlines shift. Manageable load - might be a good summer course. Group papers/cases. Turn them in early for valuable feedback. This professor needs to proofread his assignments. Conflicting information on tests and assignments b/c of this. 2 tests, long quizzes (5), and 3 papers/cases.

The quizzes are long (an hour+). Pay attention to practice material! Very helpful for tests and quizzes. Midterm, Final, Cases - 3, and 5 Quizzes (you get 2 attempts). The worst part about this class is it's so boring and teacher doesn't proofread his material. He holds weekly sessions, but it's pointless to go. He does call on you in those!

I do not recommend this teacher AT ALL. I was lucky and got in a good group and we had to work together on everything. The final is coming up and everyone is freaking out because no one knows anything. If this class is mandatory TAKE A DIFFERENT TEACHER!!! I am barely getting a B!

Professor Holloway is a fairly hard professor. He is a great guy but a terrible teacher. He rambles in class which makes taking notes impossible. Assignments are always confusing. Attendance is not mandatory which is good because its almost pointless to go. Tests are hard because you basically have to teach yourself how he wants you to learn.

Class is so boring, very hard to pay attention. Trys to make jokes but most of the time are not funny. Online quizzes and test saved my grade.Really hard to study for the test. Some how got a B. Attending class is not mandatory but he likes when people do attend and gives a grade for it. I wouldnt recommend him.

Material was hard. Professor was always available if you needed help. Took this class during summer session. Very face paced, teacher was willing to accomodate due dates. Pick a good group since that is 30% of grade. Study quizes for exams and outlines. Listen to lectures!

Great teacher, if you took advantage of office hours, he would talk to you as much as you needed. Tough material, but definitely worth taking this professor.

If you take notes about what he talks about in class while following the outlines, you should definitely get a high grade. He doesn't like when people don't come to class, but when he takes attendance it's 3% of your final grade. Go to class and he will help you out. But if you don't go to class you'll be so lost on exam day.

Comment:

Extremely nice guy. Always willing to try to help. However, the course material is a mess. Assignment are difficult to understand. The blackboard layout is horrendous. It's almost like he's trying to make up for lack of clarity with voluminous verbiage, which doesn't help. The course was harder than it should be because of this.
