Comment:

I liked revell, he was a very easy essay grader and very helpful in class. The homeworks are to post on an online forum about what we read. I would have gotten an A- if i did all the homeworks, but i was very lazy and would forget. Do the forum posts, and skim the reading, and u will get a good grades. Tests are not hard, but you need to study!!!

He used a ratification book that was boring. His tests are way to specific, especially for the density and dryness of the book. I will not take this class again.

The professor is extremely boring to the point that I just skipped every single class. He just blabber on with his opinions of the subject and does NOT TEACH ANYTHING AT ALL! He never helped on the essay even though he agreed to help. I mean sure you can do well in the class, but certainly you won't learn.

A lovely, lenient professor. He's passionate about the subject but can be disorganized at times. Grades are based on papers and exams which are fair if you read the material given to you. Powerpoints are useful for exams so read them!

Comment:

He's a good professor and a very kind and understanding man. He makes sense when he lectures. The class is heavily writing based, but the midterm and final exams are multiple choice and rather difficult. Even though he does not seem to formally curve assignments, my final grade was slightly higher than I expected it to be.

There is more work for this class than you might expect. There are online quizzes before every class which is annoying since they are difficult to score well on without doing the 1-2 hours of required reading. But if you do read, and pay attention in class, you will get an A. Overall the class was annoying but I did learn a lot.

This professor seemed like a nice guy at first. He is a decent teacher, but if you do not learn by just listening to someone talk at the front of the room then this class isn't for you. He is also very unorganized. He lost part of my final exam and tried to tell me that I did not finish it.

Decent professor, but not always very organized or clear about what we needed to be doing. He's also really bad about getting back to you via email, which is a huge problem since he's only on campus twice a week.

Dr. Revell's class was alright. The assigned readings covered what he spoke about in class. However, we often had to read about and were quizzed on material before he spoke about it in class. This rendered his lectures useless for the most part, as you already fully understood the material. He's a nice guy, but I didn't really enjoy the course.

Class is extremely easy. You don't really have to take notes. Quizzes are online and open book and count for 40% of your grade. If you do the readings you can easily get an A. Two short papers are required but are easy to do well on. Great teacher overall!

This guy was so nice! I actually slept through most of his classes just because I hate history. But I went to every class which got me participation points which he loves. I never once took notes and that was fine. The tests are quite simple and exactly off the power points. I really enjoyed this teacher and would def take a class with him again

lots of reading and writing...to be expectd for a research class. Very helpful outlined his expectations. He's passionate about the topic. Returns papers a little on the late side. Teaching for fun has a day job.

Great guy, great teacher. Learned tons from him. He is a little tough on the papers and tests, but if you go to class you should be fine for tests. Pick ur paper topix early. Geneseo shud grant him a professorship.

Class would have been ok if he had been more organized. However disorganization and frequent lateness made the class not so good. Also the books were pretty boring. However he is a really nice man and does not grade too harshly. Nonetheless it was painful going to this class.

After reading the comments I was excited. After having the professor, I was let down. He is bad about getting grades back to you which makes him seem disorganized. Expect tons of notes. Not to dificult in grading. He is a nice enough guy but seems to stammer and muck around. Also he frequently seems to get frustrated with student questions.
