This class was only marked on 2 exams and a paper, with 10% on going to tutorials. Jeremy is poor in lectures, goes through material super fast and does not explain well at all. Tons of people I know in this class hated it because how poor the lectures were and left not learning anything new. Basically we taught yourselves everything, good luck

I appreciate the study questions that he gives out before exams, but i think his teaching style and lecture materials could be clearer, more engaging and more organised.

Jeremy really cares for others and has a kind soul. His course was the least stressful for me, and his tests are completely from the questions he gives previously. If you study those, you'll get an A. If you get a TA like Beau as well, you'll get an A.

Jeremy is nice, I think he is very knowledgeable and insightful. I like the course, I didn't think it was that difficult. However, it does have a lot of theories and it require a bit of thinking and reasoning, so that's where it gets a bit confusing. But over all it's great, not a lot of work loads. Definitely recommend it :)

Jeremy is a warm and caring prof who wants to see students learn. He talks to students like they are equals. He provides prep questions to allow you to prepare for exams. Do them and you will do well! He is also very approachable and will try to explain any concepts you don't understand.

Jeremy is an excellent teacher!!! Great course. He lays out the themes of the course from he beginning and does a great job of relating all material to them. He gives study questions to prepare students for the exams. His powerpoints are not useless- listen to what he says in lecture to add on to the lecture slides and everything will make sense!

The information he presents is interesting but his ability to bring it to the level of understanding that an undergraduate student is likely to have on the material leaves something to be desired. Make use of the TA's and tutorials and you will likely do well.

GPA booster if you study HARD. Jeremy speaks in a monotone so lectures are extremely boring. tho that doesn't matter because TA's are more important. just make sure you get a good TA and you like him/her, because tutorials are the most important component of this class. Do the study questions, and you'll be fine. Tyler was a really good TA.

Classes weren't the most interesting. Make sure to do all the study questions and memorize them well, as he will pick questions from the list. Do well on the midterm - the midterm is easier than the final. Overall an easy class if you're good with memorizing and writing essays.

really boring class, really boring lectures. he doesnt explain concepts and terms in a thorough way. Instead of defining concepts, he just gives very incomprehensive examples. really bothers me

Jeremy really tries his best to explain difficult theories and concepts in this course. If you print out the lecture slides and add extraneous notes presented in lecture, you can do well in this class. I suggest asking your TA in tutorials for clarification in concepts, you may not have understood in class. Put in the effort and you will do well.

When I read the other comments on Jeremy prior to taking his class, I was scared. But he is a genuinely nice guy, and his class is thoroughly pass-able if you are willing to put in the effort to understand GENERAL principles. Short-answer exams, no text (just articles)- grade does depend on your TA.

I would also like to add that during our WebCT discussions, the proff nor even the tutor were consistent in answering the student's questions, ever!!. A good proff like Dr. Racine, actually took the time to help answer his students on WEBCT where he didn't even get paid for it! Now that is a proff that cares about his students! Avoid this proff pl

Unless you want your GPA to go down, do not take this class! A lot of students studied their butts off only to fail the final exam & bring their GPA down drastically. We were responsible for answering and studying 30+ essay questions (not even knowing if they were correct) before the midterm and answering only 6 or 7. Tutor was completely useless.

psyc 452. amazing course. It was a seminar. A lot of reading but great. The students lead the course. it felt weird the first 2 to 3 weeks, wasn't my favorite, but turned out great. No texts but articles.

He is a terrible teacher. He seems like a nice guy but he is not helpful at all. I e-mailed him repeatedly and he usually replied with just one word answers. His exams are too tough (consist of 6 -7 question? wtf?), and his material is completely irrelevant to what we SHOULD be learning. Terrible teacher, terrible class. Do not take him.

Does not convey material well in lecture (disconnected), TA and tut. were useless in helping. 20+ Hours spent studying, 13 pages of answers to 30 review questions, 5 hours listening to lecture recordings, another few committed to reviewing lecture notes. Still manage to fail the final exam. Final mark: C-. This is coming from a 3.4GPA student.

Very nice prof, extremely knowledgeable about his field but definitely can improve his teaching style. Lectures tend to be lifeless, it's hard to focus and pay attention. Exams are all written, meaning you free recall skills better be awesome. Overall, not recommended only because u will find urself not paying attention.
