John is a great guy, willing to help any time he's in his office. He can be a little hard to understand but if you can take the type to focus on what he's saying he can definitely help you out. Pro tip for labs with John, do the work early and hand it in to his office (can even slide it under the door) to avoid going to the actual labs.

Yeah, it takes a couple minutes to get used to his accent, but he explains things really well. If you think you should have gotten marks for something on a test but didn't, if you can make a case he'll usually raise your mark.
