Comment:
Awful professor. Expects the students to attend all lectures. Demands full attention in class. Rude and sarcastic when he is in a bad mood which is often. Bad temper. Lots of quizzes but it is the EXACT material on the tests so pay attention. NEVER disagree with him. He won't forget. The textbook is useless. I never used it.

Have 3 tests and a final. Gives good study guides. For the most part if you take notes in class and make sure you understand everything on the study guide you'll get an A or B on test. His explanations can be all over the place and wild, but overall I did learn. He is not the best but a couple hours of studying for the test will get you an A.

Lecture is really boring but he gives good reviews for exams. Study the masteringchem before quizzes and you should be fine. He uploads lectures which is helpful. He gives pop quizzes every once in a while so beware. Most quizzes are easy but some are difficult. He can be rude to his students and TA at times. Watch Chadreviews and you'll do great

He is really nice and sometimes he gets really excited and talks really fast. If you need help understanding something he is willing to meet and talk with you and also reading the textbook and using google are really helpful resources. Not too much homework, but many quizzes and exams. Not too bad if you try.

It's not that he is a bad teacher. He just teaches the whiteboard chemistry rather than the students. Also, his tests are free response while others teachers give multiple choice tests. The final replaces the lowest test and the lowest quiz out of 11 is dropped. Doing the homework and reading the book will be the best way to learn.

Don't take this professor. He expects you to know way too much, and doesn't explain his powerpoints well at all. He's horrible at teaching his lectures, and sounds like he has no clue what he's saying at some points. He makes his own tests and final so you'll be different from the rest. Textbook is required, but you never use it. Don't take him!

Dr Kouvetakis is boring. He tends to wander off topic. Basically an egomaniac who wants the students full attention to him not just the material. Rude and sarcastic which he finds humorous. His PowerPoint is not helpful. The only way I survived was by getting tutoring, joining a study group, and working way too hard for the grade I got.

He is a pretty good teacher as long as you pay attention. He has a good pace to his teaching (not too fast, not too slow). Powerpoints aren't the best but his lectures are alright overall. What I liked about him is that he makes it very clear what he wants you to know for the tests. They are VERY similar to the study guide. Would recommend him

He was a good teacher for the most part. He tends to go off from the lecture to discuss off topic subjects a lot. DO THE STUDY GUIDES. They're very similar to the tests. Homework is easy for the most part. Quizzes are both take home and in class.

He was typically unhelpful, and the class requires a LOT of work. I passed thanks to the tutoring center. However, he gives study guides that are basically the same as the tests, and at the end of the semester he'll drop your lowest exam, quiz, and homework, which helps a lot. Surprises quizzes in class, so attendance is mandatory.

He is a great professor and knows his stuff. If you listen in class and don't have your phone or computer out, you'll get a lot from his class. He gives practice tests that are LITERALLY identical to the actual test. If you do those you should have no problem getting a good grade! He's also really funny.

One of the most stubborn people I have ever met. If you disagree with him on ANYTHING do not expect any sort of guidance. However, He gives really easy quizzes that are basically free points for showing up. but most importantly he usually posts practice exams a day or 2 before the test and they are almost 100% the word-for-word of the real exam.

At first he seemed out of breath all the time and a tad intimidating, but he's actually a really nice guy. He can be really funny, sometimes unintentionally. I would take him again for chemistry. Of all my friends taking chemistry at the same time he was the easiest and most fun professor. TAKE HIM. I never bought the textbook, just the answer book

He is a very good professor and wants the students to understand. However, sometimes he comes off as a little mean. But, overall, I understood what was expected, did it, and received an A. However, if you really need help, I suggest going to the TA's. My TA, Monika, was the best at explaining things! Not the most interesting lectures, but not bad!

A guy who means well but is utterly helpless without Monika. Lectures are pointless - study from the book because you won't understand him in class. Attendance isn't mandatory, although sometimes quizzes are taken. The study guides are pretty much exactly like the tests so the class isn't too horrible.

Kouvetakis' chemistry class made for an interesting first semester. The powerpoints are hardly ever helpful unless you want to write down every word. I spent most of my classes watching parks and rec in the back tbh. I recommend reading the textbook and the practice exams! Right Monika?

Taking Professor Kouvetakis's class was amazing. All the powerpoints were posted on Blackboard which helped the students a lot. The practice exams are really similar to the real exams so make sure to do the study guides and attend the review session. The quizzes are usually easy and at the end, we had a chance to improve one quiz grade.
