The most amazing and gracious professor I have ever met. I interviewed him for an honors class and this man has stories to tell. I recommend all my friends to come and sit in one of classes because they are so informative for everyday practical use and are helpful in Biology, Sociology, and Psychology

Guys, I can't rave enough about Professor Oliver. He is a talented and insightful man who also works in the field. His lectures are literally the best I have heard. Coming to his class feels like sitting down and having a one-on-one convo with him. No exams and no quizzes and you don't have to take notes.

Comment:

Dr. John Oliver is the best professor by far that I've had. I took him for 2 classes (Intro to Counseling and Human Sexual Behaviors). He is great in both. His lectures are wonderfully interesting. I love the way he taught the class. You should definitely take him. 1000000% recommended!!!

Best teacher Ive ever had. He makes going to class fun & interesting. He has such a kind soul and looks out for the students from the bottom of his heart. He gives a lot of opportunities to boost your grade through assignments. Hes the best! Highly recommended!!

Dr. Oliver is really insightful and overall a pleasure to interact with. Homework usually consists of anonymous surveys/questionnaires that, if nothing else, help you understand yourself a little more. The class is informative and useful for the future. The exams are a little challenging, but nothing too difficult.

Dr. Oliver is an amazing professor. Hes very knowledgeable, hilarious, and a true inspiration. His homework consists of simple surveys that take less than 5 minutes to fill out. His tests are given online and can be tricky. I suppose thats fair considering its open book. Lots of extra credit though. Overall hes great! Ill be taking him again.

Just take the class. Not a huge work load AT ALL. Most interesting class ive ever taken by far. Content is interesting and something you actually want to learn about it. All tests are literally on canvas. Please just take this class. Coolest professor, ever. Easy A, but the contents more important than an A! I seriously learned SO MUCH.

Favorite professor! I took him for Psychology of Abnormal Behavior and he gave the best lectures. Tests are online, lots of homework (easy surveys) and discussions. Show up to class, take notes, and you'll pass. Extra credit opportunities. Definitely recommend this professor.

Comment:

Honestly one of my favorite professors ever, took him for Sexual Behavior. Four tests, and a ton of assignments. (The assignments are all surveys that take five minutes to fill out on various sex topics.) The way the class is weighed, you could get 70s on each test, but do every assignment and walk out with an A. Hilarious and genuinely caring guy.

Best professor I've had at UNF so far. You can tell he really cares about what hes teaching. Class is just a lecture but its interesting material. 4 tests all online on canvas, as long as you show up and take notes you'll do fine. Information is interesting so its easy to want to learn. Highly recommend this class and this professor. Hes awesome !!

First of all, this is one of the most interesting classes you'll ever take. He really wants his students to learn, and hes a really funny guy. Since the class is so interesting its really not hard at all. He does grade on attendance but the tests are all online and easy. One of the best classes ive taken at UNF and I definitely will take him again

Great professor, super chill not very hard. Only 4 quizzes all online. Never used the book. Assignments are easy but very personal. You will lose points if you don't show up.

Dr. Oliver was hilarious and a joy to have as a professor. He's the first professor to make me consider taking a 9 am JUST so I could have him. His tests are timed with about 40 seconds a question, but honestly you either know it or you don't. He provided so much extra credit I ended up with >100%. Show up (attendance counts) and you'll get an A!

Dr. Oliver was great! He's funny, and had a lot of knowledge to spread. Enjoyed his lectures and I really enjoyed how the exams were online, they were timed but I found it easier instead of being crammed in a lecture hall with 200 other students, helps with focus. Gives a lot of extra credit options and really wants his students to pass! 10/10

The lectures were incredible - always interesting and filled with humor. He also offers extra credit that can boost up your final grade. The only issue I struggled with were the tests. They're online so they're open-book, but some of questions are nowhere to be found. I got a B on every test, but I'm usually an A student. Would recommend, though.

He is a great professor. Attendance is mandatory but he makes the lectures very fun and interesting. There are four tests and there is only a cumulative final IF for some reason you miss one of the other tests. I did not have the book for his class and I passed with a B. The homework is easy, its just surveys. He has extra credit options too!

Dr. John is one of the best professors I've had! His lectures are entertaining and very informational. Make sure you takes lots of notes (and go to class) and you will do fine on his 4 (online) tests!
