This man makes my blood boil. He doesn't teach, expects you to know everything, and isn't helpful. Half his test are unrelated to what he actually teaches. I will never take a course with him again. John Rude I hope you read this and find a new profession.

Comment:

Once you reach the upper level accounting courses, he is fine as a professor. He does not teach in a linear fashion, but once you advance you begin to appreciate his life experiences of accounting since they are more relevant to the topic at hand. Accounting becomes more qualitative at the upper level.

If you want a professor who doesnt help at ALL.... TAKE HIM. His exams are very hard and very time consuming. He doesnt care about anything else but himself or his grape soda. He also expects you to know everything before the semester starts.

Sitting in class right now. This guy wants to teach so bad ad tries to be helpful in class but is just stuck in the past. Probably the worst professor I've ever had; do yourself a favor and avoid his class - unless you feel like teaching yourself or spending half your semester in his office hours.

Dr. Rude was my least favorite person on earth for about the first 3 weeks of the class. He always seemed dismissive and frankly, like he didn't care. Once I started visiting his office hours and asking for help and extra work I found him to be a great a resource and very knowledgeable.

He is the absolute worst professor I have ever had. His last name speaks volumes about this class. He will not let you see your grades after each test and makes all of the information so unclear. If you ask him he will not answer. Instead of teaching you what you need to know he will talk to you about his life instead of teaching material. AVOID!!!

One of the worst teachers I've ever had. Gives you at least 2 pages of homework to do after every class plus you have online homework you need to do. If you answer a question wrong he makes you feel like a complete idiot. DO NOT TAKE HIM UNLESS YOU HAVE TO!!!

Unfortunately, he is the only professor that teaches intermediate 3 so you have no choice if you take him or not. Probably a great guy outside of class, but really does no teaching at all, and unbelievable unclear. Taught myself everything, and I still left the class knowing NOTHING.

Avoid him at all cost, he is unclear on his material. will go on and on about life stories the majority of the class. You must know his material word for word even if you change it to your words but have the same meaning he will not pass you. I got 16 of 20 on my quiz and he gave me a 47%. no clear grading gives you whatever he thinks you deserve!!

Writing this rating as I sit in his class listening to him preach about irrelevant story of him buying an old used car. I am currently taking 3 300 level business classes, with this course being my lowest level course, but yet also my lowest grade. Class size went from 65 to 25. Stated that we should limit social lives and study 10 hours a day.

Dr. Rude has extensive knowledge of accounting but I have never had a professor who was worse at communicating that knowledge. The entire class revolves around the greenbook and you have to learn as you go on the take home tests. He is very nitpicky about formatting and everything has to be exactly as he does it. Unhelpful when answering questions

Dr. Rude was a funny bull. He treats you like a grumpy grandpa and only drinks grape soda. If you want an A in the class all you have to do is learn how to format excel sheets to one page. The rest you can figure out when you have to take intermediate 3.

He is your only option for Intermediate 3 so you kind of just have to suck it up. Take the green book quizzes seriously because he likes you if you do well on them. Have a good group for the take home exams because they're tricky and he doesn't help. Don't bother going to office hours, he won't help you.
