The lectures are extremely boring its hard to keep your self awake in the class. He tries REALLY hard to be funny, tells the lamest jokes and then pauses afterward waiting for laughs. The quizzes are easy if you review the power points before hand, but the midterm was death.

Excellent prof. Tells alot of lame jokes but he is very down to earth. He is a strong republican. Textbook not required and all questions are taken from PPT. Midterm semi difficult but if you go to class its easy. Enjoyed his class:)

Attendance isn't required, and usually people just show up on quiz days. quizzes are easy as long as you study, he offers extra credit on every quiz. The lectures are super boring though. I feel bad because he tries really hard to be funny.. it just doesn't work. He's a nice guy though and a really good teacher.

He makes the worst jokes ever and class is unbearably boring. Quizzes are somewhat easy if you put time into studying powerpoints. Midterm was ridiculously hard in my opinion. Only go to class on quiz days.

Easy class. There's no need to buy the textbook. All the quizzes are based on powerpoints. As long as study time is put in this class it can be an easy A. Timko also gives extra credit points on every quiz and on certain occasions.

this is a very easy class, do not have to come except for on quiz days. all his powerpoint lectures are on beachboard. i didnt really like this class, he is very boring and monotone. he didnt make the class fun at all, and didnt deviate from his powerpoint.

Extremely easy class. He goes over all the powerpoints in class, but you have access to the powerpoints on beach board, so you dont really have to go to class, just study the powerpoints. He is a really cool teacher, but the lectures are pretty boring except when he comes up with the JOKE OF THE DAY! =]

John Timko, is a nice guy. His class is REALLY easy, quizzes every thursday,.5 pts each correct answer. You do not need to buy the book!!! Quizzes are based primarily of the powerpoints hoever his lectures are quite interesting, the man is quite funny with his corny jokes! CRJU 101

Okay now here's the deal he has a quiz every week on the power points so make sure to study. The lectures are kind of boring but hes a really nice teacher. He will help you out if you go to his office hours. Uses the same questions on the quizzes for the midterm and final. Hes not a bad teacher the class is not that hard.

highly recommend uses power point dont need to attend class just study the power point and come and take the quizs. extra credit on every quiz. dont need the costly textbook. funny sometimes dont cheat becuz he will and do well on your qiuzes if not he will drop you. overall great teacher. i got an A ha! ha!

This professor is ok. He covers the chapters pretty clear and detailed. Eventhough I'm not a Crim Major I still learn interesting stuff about Crim Justice. He is quite easy. Attendance is not mandatory as long as you study the PP slides you will be fine. Hes very funny too! Hes a cool dude, and has a great sense of humor.

the class is whatever. he's a nice guy and he can be lenient with certain things. i dont believe class attendance is necessary cause you can just read the slides at home and youll gain the same knowledge if you stay for lecture or not. i wasnt interested in the course material thats probably why i didnt do too well.

WASTE OF YOUR TIME! I could've taught myself if I had to. I don't need him for lectures. Eventhough I did show up for lectures I wondered why I was even there. I don't recommended this professor.He has no stragety in teaching.All he did was use PP slides and give quizzes. Too many students got A's just to fly by the class and not learn anything!
