Comment:

Very kind teacher, has a bit of a dry sense of humor but if you get to know him he's pretty interesting. He just came back to teaching and used us as guinea pigs, so basically as long as we completed the assignment we got an A. Used textbooks for Take Home Quizzes, he's very lenient if you forget to bring a quiz and lets you turn it in the next day

Comment:

I think I got lucky to get Jonathan's class versus alot of the other ART 100 instructers. Projects were kind of fun and if things didn't seem clear, he was willing to clarify instructions. Sometimes projects seemed to drag and things got boring but if he saw the class working hard, we'd get out a bit early. We used the book alot but its so boring..

Comment:

True about the directions and handing stuff back, but he makes up for it with his policy- you know you don't have to worry about your grade: as long as you actually did the work- you'll end up with an A or B. Plus he's really easygoing.

I think he is very good at what he does. He loves art and loves to teach and you can tell. He is willing to help you at all costs, and his projects that he gives us are fun and unique. He understands that not everyone is an art major. He works with us!

For someone who had never taken art before this was a good class, but his directions for the projects were very unclear, and he never returns anything to you, so you have no clue how you're doing in the class! It's very frustrating!!!
