Took his class America in the 60s at Kean@OCC. Excellent teacher, young, hip, and able to relate to the wide age group of the class. Textbooks were actually a good read, and his essay assignments interesting. He is by no means a pushover and you will have to work and pay attention to get a good grade. However, he is a fair grader.

Amazing teacher. Had him 2 semesters in a row and as long as you show interest and put in effort he grades fairly. Classes are very entertaining and to the point. Very easy on the eyes too!

He taught me years ago during a summer class in NJ. He was a decent teacher. I did well on his exams becasue I read, paid attention, and studied. He does not give away points, so you must study and read! He was also hands-down the sexiest professor I ever laid my eyes upon. I'm sure that he regularly caught me staring him up and down during class.

Dr.Mercantini was an amazing professor. It is obvious that he really cares about each of his students. If you do the reading, pay attention in class, and study for the tests then you should have no problem obtaining a good grade in this class. If you have a problem with anything, just let him know, he is very understanding and extremely helpful.

I question his ability to plan a lecture. If you like structure, he's not for you. Much of the class is what do you think about the author's opinion ?? I don't know! that's why I am in school!! No effective notes, really tough books that are excruciatingly boring. Long awkward pauses, he comes back w. something about his FABULOUS book he is writing

He's a decent professor. The class is mostly powerpoint and lecture. 3 books to read and the text and 3 essays, not too hard. 2 tests and a final. He's pretty nice and can be funny. If you work moderately hard, you'll do alright. Definetley a decent choice for a professor.

class was sick- we talked about sex, drugs, music and movies.....but after that it all goes down hill......his papers and tests suck because you dont learn anything during our discussions, he looks at you funny when you answer a question, he makes it so that you dont even want to pay attention or participate because if you do you are never right

Class is fun. Discussion about sex, drugs, and other siiiiick stuff. Papers are SUPER hard cause you dont really take any notes. Im not sure I learned anything either. He looks at you kinda funny when you talk in class too.. like you have to tell him when youre done, even if its obvious.
