Not good at explaining things. She does easy problems during class then gives hard ones on the test. If you do have her make good use of her office hours.

Comment:

She isn't a very good teacher at all. During class she will go through easy problems and then start a harder problem and not finish it. She tries to make the class easier with group quizzes and online homework, but tests are way too hard. You have to show work on tests/quizzes or else little credit. I guess she's about average for Calculus though.

Comment:

Well, if you like to have examples for reference for later, forget it, she does them but gives you about 3 seconds to write it down, or she never finishes them, it's really frusterating. But the quizzes aren't bad and neither are the tests if you know the theorems. Plus if you put something down she'll only take off .1 to .5 away each time.

She would always rush through the notes. Always giving examples, but never really explained much. Tough grader. Quized every Friday. MAJOR PUSHOVER THOUGH, you could get her to do just about anything you want, almost.

She is extremely easy! In her class you get to use your notes and book on all the tests including the final! If you go to her office she is very helpful! She is a picky grader though, so take good notes!

She goes fairly slow through material. She is extremely helpful if you get the chance to go to her office-it helps! She is a nit-picky grader so make sure to double check your work-but she only takes of .1 pts instead of 1. I would take her again!

She's a nice lady. I sometimes felt confused and rushed, but whenever I went to her office and asked for help she was willing to give it. She gives group quizzes, which is nice. She doesn't grade on a curve, so I was sort of surprised at my A. Just be careful to be very neat and line up everything under the equals sign!

You cannot hear her even when you are in the front row. she takes points off of the tests for ridiculous reasons. She has a big thing with how you show your work, it has to be lined up exactly with all the equal signs and to the left of the problem and directly below the previous problem. I get half points on tests when i have all correct answers.

I really, really liked Prof. Quella. She is appreciative of people who work hard and commit to her class. If you ask her for help, she is more than willing to explain the problem. I found her helpful and extremely fair. I was happy with the class, and I took calc. in the summer. No curve, but she is not unreasonable about grades.

The class started out as a full lecture class and in the end, there were about 15 of us. The highest grade at one point was a C. She doesnt curve. She always tells us we need to study "2 hours a day" and I'm starting to think the only way you can pass her class is to actually study that much.

Nice lady, gives group quizzes and lots of chances for points, but grades harshly! Finds ways to give you points off for just one wrong word. Doesn't really give homework which is nice, but kind of makes it hard to retain the information that you learned... didn't enjoy the class all that much.

Quella is nice, but she's quiet/hard to hear. You work on the same thing for 2 weeks, then she'll introduce a new concept the day before the test. Nice thing is, she takes off .1 instead of full points.I had no idea what I was doing in this class, and I pulled off an A. PS: She's no help if you go to her outside of class, she says "go see a tutor"

She's a very nice, sweet lady, but she can get confusing during lecture. She makes many algebra mistakes on the board and she often gets off-track and forgets to finish problems. She gives out many extra credit assignments but all are only worth 1 point, not enough to affect your grade. She's good overall, just pay close attention to her lectures.

She goes through things very quicky, she is very picky when grading tests and group assignments, and is confusing at times. She lets you use all notes and the book for tests but when you dotn know what youre doing its hard to use them.

The lectures tend to be too fast. She assigns random homework assignments, and then doesn't grade them or even go over them. The tests are totally random, and barely apply to what she teaches. She is unfair through her grading and her test material. She marks off for anything possible, and rarely gives partial credit. Good luck, you'll need it

She goes through the material way too fast and she expects us to memorize exact and i mean EXACT definitions. she excepts the concepts to come naturally, and for the math-challenged, this is NOT the prof to take.

I loved her, she was a cute little lady, did go through stuff a bit fast, but I understood her, I enjoyed her humor and she was probably the best prof when it comes to helping outside of class. I once spent an hour in her class for calc, and she was chippery the whole time, I would take her again
