Comment:
she is awful. i received a C+ in the class after doing every assignment on time and properly.. she sums up a lot of her lessons by tying it in with her political opinions as if her opinion is fact... she will give you a bad grade if you present an opposite viewpoint

Really clear and interesting lectures. She encourages people to participate, and there is a presentation assignment. She's also really clear on what you need to know for tests and what's expected for papers, so if you put any effort into her class it's not hard.

The only thing that saved my grade was the projects and the take home quizzes. I failed every tests and still managed to get an B+. Her teaching style is very boring and sometimes hard to stay awake in, but if you are interested in the topic it might be better for you. Her grading inst bad at all, just her tests are tough. just study

She is very one sided and when you try to discuss your view on something, she shuts you down immediately and embarrasses you in front of everyone. The work isn't difficult, but she isn't clear on the topic when she explains it. I had to drop her class due to her constantly shutting my views down. I would not suggest you take her.

This class is the type of class where you earn your grade. You cant expect to get a good grade and not do any work in this class. Upon entering this class you should be open to different ideas and not be one sided on political issues. Her tests are easy if you study and her take home quizzes are simple.

one of the most boring and dreadful class i have taken at Suffolk. She either does not like you, acually if she doesnt like you she will embaress you infront of everyone and downgrade your opinion. She's one sided and one sided only there is no talking to her.If she does not like you she will show it and she will make a point of it, do not take her

Extremely one sided. No room for discussion really. She'll shoot you down if you try and speak your opinion because her opinion is the right one. Makes you feel stupid if you don't understand something and ask. If you can take another professor, do it. I actually did well in the class, it's not too hard IF you study, it's her that is the problem.

Very one sided in discussions. Strictly tests on text, while making little to no use of it in class. Papers, are exactly what they seem, however do not underestimate them, or over think them. Finally, there are no exceptions to any of her due dates, no matter the reason it seems. So be prepared.

probably one of my least favorite teachers of all time. she would voice her opinion, and when we tried voicing ours she didn't want to hear it. way too by the book and not open to any discussion or debate which is what a political science class is all about.

Professor Lang is extremely passionate about what she teaches. Attend class and read through the textbook before tests and you'll be fine. I got an A, however, this class is not for students who are "skating by". Be prepared to earn your grade!

Never have I met someone who thought so higly of themselves. Professor Lang is ecotistical and thinks that she has seen the world when she really hasn't she is so one sided and if you disagree with her views she will have no problem letting you know that she things your views are wrong which is unethical for a teacher to do in my opinion.

Professor Lang is a great teacher. She encourages a lot of discussion. Although I ended up only getting a C+, it was because I didnt read the textbook and her tests are entirely based off the text. So just read, and take good notes and you'll do well. You also have to do a presentation at the end of the semester, which is 20% of your grade.

Wonderful! The class was great, the topics interesting, and Prof. Lang goes out of her way to help. READ THE BOOK! It holds all the answers. Then she will even go over key points and tell you what to look for. Plenty of extra credit opps. If you are a skate by, no effort student you should not attend. Thorough testing w/ essays and presentation.

I got an A, but the tests are HARD. Read the textbook & memorize seemingly-useless statistics. Otherwise, not bad. You have every opportunity to earn extra points that you missed. Classes are interesting, & she's funny, even if she isn't trying to be. If someone is *actually* stupid, she doesn't hide her face very well! I loved her!

She's great. She really wants her students to get involved and take notice of whats going on around them. Since i started taking her class I've learned a lot that totally amazed me. Shes all business and will shoot you down immediately if you fool around, shes tough and i admire that cause she isn't going to waste her time babying you like a child

Lang is a great teacher and is an expert at politics. One will work hard in her class in order to pass gives three test short answer and matching. Gives three take home multiple choice quizes. Gives three news reviews on pbs programs, an essay, and a presentation. She is good she is the best at what she does but she will make you earn your grade

This is probably one of the best professors at Suffolk. Shes truely cares about politics and urges everyone of her students to have a passion for politics. Test can be hard but make sure you take ALL notes cause that what the tests are from. Had her for 2 semesters and do not regret it.
