Comment:

Not the greatest, not the worst. Pretty much just read straight from slides that weren't even made by him. Book isn't really necessary. He takes FOREVER to return/grade work, only 2 weeks left in the semester and only has 2 things graded. Would take him again if I had to, but wouldn't be my first choice. Definitely an interesting fella. Talks a lot

Filed an academic grievance. Doesn't grade assignments, rarely replies to emails (even ones asking for help). Assigns homework due BEFORE teaching students the material. Cancelled class 6 times in 5 weeks. Didn't even show up to a class and couldn't be bothered to send an email to explain. Avoid this professor if you can, we pay too much for this.

Most frustrating class I've ever taken. The slides he gives are from Pearson and a joke. Doesn't explain concepts often. Feel expected to instantly know a concept by mentioning it on a slide (no definitions or examples).

One of the worse profs I've ever had stay away. Put tons of time into homework and he never passed back any graded back so we could study for his heavily weighted 3 exams. Explains little in class too busy trying to make jokes or brag.

I took him in summer. We had six weeks classes, six weeks project. For six weeks (12 classes) 3 he canceled and 2 we were in class 20 mins3 hours. He only lectures off of powerpointscode handouts with no lab time. He gives little in the way of help and doesn't answer emails. Better teach yourself most of it.

Goes very fast. You cant keep up with him. Will assign homework on hard material and expect you to know how to do it even though he only showed you once.. and when he did he flew through it in less than 5 minutes.. Stay away if possible. Also thinks you already know everything. We are not taking the class if we know everything obviously...

An excellent professor who really knows his stuff. I took him for 3700 data structures and now I'm taking him again for Computer Arcitecture. You will learn a lot! Tests are all what he called "fill in the blank" which mean there is a question and a blank page to fill in the answer:-) There are no surprises on the tests. Overall I learned a ton!

Easily the best Professor in the CSIS Dept. If you are actually interested in learning something, and not just drifting through courses, take him. His courses will challenge you, but his casual lecture style and his habit of working things out on the board in front of you make learning the material, dare I say, enjoyable.

If you take Schueller ready yourself for an extremely hard class. He teaches at a high level and if you try you can come close to it. The more you put into the class the more you get out of it (squared). Don't get me wrong its not impossible but you definitely have to work for an A.

I am indifferent. I really don't think I am cut out for programming. I really needed more help and needed to dedicate more time to the actual programming. the only thing that really pissed me off was that he actually said that he couldn't be fired because he had tenure. Overall not worth the money I spent on the class.

HE WAS HORRIBLE. Never told us what would be on a test. Its a programming test for crying out loud so what are we like supposed to know everything?! I never understood projects as he didnt help!!!! I tried to do it myself but ended up doing horribly then asked for help but all i got was questions in return.!

Very smart man. HOWEVER. 10-15 minutes late to class every day, sometimes more. And I mean EVERY day. Once he didn't even show up. Doesn't pass back assignments. Has a fair grading policy, but test questions can be extremely vague, even when he expects a specific answer. Incomprehensible handwriting. No telling when class will end or begin.

An extremely wicked awesome teacher, Schueller is always happy, and an extremely nice & sensitive man. It's been a lot of fun learning from him, and a heck of an experience going through my semester here. He's the most awesomest professor. My only regret is that I think this is the last class we get with him. :'(
