Great professor. VERY knowledgeable about our nation's history. Interjects his own thoughts. Quirky and extremely interesting. The course work was well organized and grading was fair. Leaves comments on your assignments. He really makes you THINK. I wish I could have taken an in-class course with him. Highly recommend for intellectual students.

He knows history and is passionate about it. He has a great sense of humor and you need to take it for what it is. History happened and there is a reason weather you like it or not. Just learn from it.

Comment:

Although there was quite a bit of reading involved at times, the class really wasn't too bad. I sometimes felt like I was struggling, but in the end I passed the class with an A+. Gage is very helpful and offers extra credit which is awesome if you need a grade boost. I'd take a class with him again! :)

Funny guy! Took it online, but he is a tough grader!! usually didnt get more than low A's and B's at best, grades down for little errors. not really fast to reply or really answer your question quit right But knows his stuff!Would be a better in class teacher! wouldnt recommended the online one, take it in class and Im sure he would be much better

Took class online. Lots of reading (book & lessons), but he does try to pick the most important topics. His lessons are really good, but long. Assignments don't have many questions, but can be hard to find the right answers. Slow to grade by a few weeks. Midterm paper. Final is short answer/essay. He's funny in a quirky way & loves Sci-Fi.

I am not very good at history, but that is not required for this class. I took the all online course. If you read the info in the lectures & book, & put effort into your assignments you will pass with an A. The weekly assignments were time consuming, but not difficult. He is funny, & helpful, & maybe a little random but he is a good teacher.

Seems like a smart guy and had interesting lectures. I feel that he should be teaching upper level classes! a few of his assignment drove me nuts, but if you try your best he'll pass you.

This teacher seemed to jump all over the place, seemed very unorganized. I had the hardest time following anything he said. I was in the class for two weeks and really gave it a good shot but i finally had to drop it. He had a really soft voice and couldn't quite follow what he was saying.

Terrible teacher. Boring teacher and when you ask him a question he looks at you like he's confused and then kind of restates your question and rarely answers it. Had to drop the class because I did not learn a thing!! Just a warning :-)

This teacher is awesome. He should be teaching at Harvard rather than a community college. I wish more profs were like him. He is insightful and intelligent and even indulgent on assignments turned in late. If you want an easy A you won't find it here- Gage expects a lot from his students, but no more than should be for a college course. He's great

This teacher is horrible. I felt like I was taking a religion class. The homework questions were long and hard. I have never taken a history class like this, The final was short notice and three essay questions with long answers. I liked history before this teacher.
