He is a very nice guy and very willing to help if you have any questions. There are two exams, midterm and final. They are both easy to pass if you are really in this class. And the exams were actually easier than what you thought. You may be confused in lecture but after you do your homework you will be fine.

Just horrible. Probably a nice person but not a good teacher at all. Won't recommend to anyone unless you would want to teach the material yourself. His lectures don't help - he doesn't come prepared to class but glares at you when you leave early.

He has a really boring lecture. However, with really easy quiz every week and two midterms, he is a good choice if you want easy A and work hard.

He is a very good teacher! His explanation was very clear. You should pay attention at class because the test (1 times per 1-2 weeks) is about class material. You should do home work for you-self and ask questions before or after lessons. The midterm and finale look like his tests. it is not very hard class (1A is more harder)

No mandatory homework, but I recommend self studying. You'll need the textbook His lectures are incredibly boring. Like others have stressed, he's not really approachable, so you'll frequently be left figuring things out on your own. However, Math 22 isn't any easy subject, and I guess Prof English does an ok job.

He doesn't give homework so your studying plan is entirely up to you. However, he is not the best teacher out there. Most of the times, his explanation is boring and he doesn't maintain eye contact. Also, he doesn't give quiz so just don't be surprised with the exam. Don't take him if you're easily bored.

Mr English is a nice guy that unfortunately makes math pretty boring. You could tell he'd get really disappointed when people would leave. Overall, not a hard class at all. No homework. If you get an A on the final you get an A in the class. Either come and sit for the entire class or don't come at all.

I don't doubt that he had good intentions with his teaching and he's a fairly nice person. However, I distinctly recall when people used to walk out of class to use the bathroom, or just leave, he'd stop lecturing and just glare at them for like an entire minute or two. Personally I thought that was more rude than the people walking out of class.

Have fun teaching yourself Calculus. The book is horrendously unhelpful and unfortunately the professor relies on the book during lectures and makes mistakes on the board. It's obvious that he knows the material but has a difficult time teaching it in a clear and concise way. I learned more going to 'khan academy' than going to class. Average.

Extremely boring class... Almost all students fall asleep during every lecture and eventually stop coming. There are random quizzes either in the beginning or at the end of class. Tests are okay, but not easy. Overall, class is manageable, but his lectures are super tedious.

super boring.pop quzie.very unclear. he don't check the homework. So you don't have to do the homework at all.If you are a smart student and can study by yoursslf. Take him. I like this professor, his test and exam are very easy. But he gives quiz every class. He didn't check homework, so it's up to u. But he teaches not really good, feel a little boring. If u have question, he will explain to u nicely. If u do some excise, I think the exam is ok for u.

Managble work load, and never give exam problem which is out of box. As long as you study book problems, you should be fine. He is willing to help students and clarify their confusion. Highly recommend him!!

This class in general is okay, but his teaching style is just not for me. All he does is talk about the material for two hours and gives you quizzes at the end of class. You can see majority of the class fall asleep after the first hour of lecture.

Honesty dont take his 2b class. Im sure he's a great teacher at other subjects but this one was horrible. The class was NEVER engaged in lecture, half the people (that actually showed up) would either be asleep or on facebook on laptops. lectures are straight from txtbook, all theory with very few actual examples. Stares at floor while talking.

Currently taking his class, 2A and 2B. He's REALLY nice and he'll help you (but of course like any other class you need to be willing to ask questions!). The homework is not mandatory but you should really do them because the quizzes are very similar to them. Make sure you learn all basic problems and you'll do fine in the class.
