Comment:

Really nice & enthusiastic about the material, but the assignments are kind of unrealistic. Long, long readings without enough time, long writing assignments, and a paper due after the final exam, which seemed like a little much. Definitely not a boring class, though.

Comment:

Eck is an amazing professor and is very enthusiastic. The feedback on papers is something I've never seen before. She gives about two pages worth. There's one group project which isn't too hard. Symposium at end of the semester which is fun, it's just the class and food.

I'm only halfway through the semester and I'm really enjoying Professor Eck as an instructor. The class content is interesting and she is an amazing and kind person. However, she seems to be unrealistic with her expectations in homework. I believe that she is asking for way too much given the level of the class.

Comment:

Dr. Eck is by far my favorite teacher in the English department. She is not only is not only the most passionate teacher I've had, but also the most experienced and travelled. Her knowledge of cultures is unreal and helps you gain a new perspective of the world. Going to class is important because you discuss the homework and keep an open mind!

She was very accommodating to my absences and really listens to her students. I've taken her four times in my college career and each time I've gotten a B or higher. While taking her class, you'll want to learn more because you can tell how passionate she is about teaching. Keep up with the readings, participate, and take notes and you'll pass.

Lisa Eck is one of the smartest, most friendly, most enthusiastic, and genuinely nice and warm teachers I've had at Framingham. The readings were challenging but interesting and the class was a community thanks to her personality and engaging approach. Highly recommended!

she is super nice but real disorganized. she takes a long time to get back assignments and its hard to figure out what she is asking you to change because she is so vague. still she is a lot of fun and the readings are interesting and it was a lot easier in the end than my last 300.

Love her! She's a friendly, crazy, hippy "earth Mama" with a soft heart who never gives anyone a bad grade in the end. She's really out of it and unclear, but this is post modernism too so she matches the material. EASY - take her 300 if you can't get Horn or Seiden.

Comment:

Extremlely nice teacher and sincerely interested in helping student succeed. Attendance is mandatory as the discussions are key in helping prepare for exams. Willing to make time to help students learn. Is not much of a lecturer, but rather allows students to guide and lead the discussion. If you can get her for Lit Study go for it!
