Really easy if you just study the day before the midterm. Not really a hard grader, presentation of 'book report' is easy. Everyone does the same book for the book report.

I don't understand all these negative reviews. Dr. Sibeck is great and really knows the material well. Grade is a midterm, paper and final but all are manageable. Very understanding and a nice guy. Do take him!

Comment:

Gary Sibeck's class made me question the academic integrity of the LMU Business school. I am so glad I am only a minor, because this is my impression of the college. Students continuously go to the dean and ask why they have a professor who teaches such out of date marketing and business law... Yet he is still employed.

Comment:

He's a very nice person and cares about his students. Midterm & Final - difficult because questions from textbook. I respect how he still teaches even at his age, but all throughout class, I kept thinking how he just needs to go home, watch TV and sleep. He deserves a break.

Grade consists of a group project, midterm, and final. The midterm and final are random questions of his choosing, sometimes not in the chapters he tells you to study. Very boring but attendance is only really necessary on the day of the midterm, final, and your group project. Easy but his lack of clarity makes an A almost impossible

Pointless class, doesnt even show up a few times throughout the semester, one midterm, one final based on random questions of his choosing, one group project which everyone gets an A on, and literally just reads off powerpoints. good luck to all.

Not a good professor at all. I did not learning anything in his class. Everything he lectures about has nothing to do with what is on his midterm and final, which are 10 essay questions on each. He is an easy grader though on the book paper and group presentation we do. Overall, pointless class but necessary for business students.

This may not be required so ask your advisor if you can get out of it. On Mondays he lectures on the chapter, Wednesdays someone in the class presents a project, and Fridays he goes over case studies. One midterm, one final and a case presentation/paper. No study guides and he just says to know everything… which is not possible. DO NOT TAKE SIBECK.

Two exams and one essay. Problem I had with the professor is that he doesn't really engage with the students. He simply lectures. MUST study the book to pass the class. Lectures alone won't help since he'll test any of the materials on the book plus the notes. It's a hit or miss. Not that easy class like others had said before.

He will challenge you in class and will call on you constantly. Even if you give a good answer he'll push for more. However, I learned soooo much in this class. He is an easy grader but tests can be a little tricky because each wrong answer is a letter grade. He also differentiates lecture material and text material. Take him if you want to learn

Do not take his Int Marketing Class. The tests are so stupid. I took his class for Int Business Law and it was easy because it was open book/open notes test but Int Mrkt it is closed book and he expects you to know everything. The tests are 10 short answer questions so if you dont know one answer you get marked down a whole letter grade.

Such a great class. I loved learning about Real Estate Law from him. By far a must take professor. 1 midterm and 1 final. Extra credit paper. Easy, fun class.
