I enjoyed Dr. Hanson's class during the semester. The class has a lot of reading and writing, so be prepared to do that. Make sure you read and take notes so you can participate in the discussions in class. Her class is constructed around discussion and participation, so as long as you read the story and defend your pov, you will pass the class.

Dr. Hanson is extremely difficult, but I can see the benefits now. There is lots of reading, and daily quizzes that are tricky. She keeps the class interesting, but you have to work. If you want an easy A, dont take this class. If you are willing to work and really want to learn something, take her class! I hated it at first, but see benefits now!

Excellent professor! She teaches great writing skills and how to communicate in a professional manner. I appreciate how she incorporated several real life experiences outside of the classroom into the assignments for the professional writing major students.

Dr. Hanson is one of the only professors at FMU that really relate with students. she will make you work hard for your grade but I promise you will learn a lot and it will actually stick with you. she teachers her students how to be professional. she grades very nit-picky but you will appreciate her way of teaching in the end. but DO NOT SKIP CLASS

Dr. Hanson's classes are like a full time job. Her projects are exactly what you'd be doing if you were working in Professional Writing. For non-majors, this class is hell. For majors, it's a test to see if you're in the right major. Good luck, future writers.

Dr. Hanson is not an easy professor, but you WILL learn the material and come out of the class with a better understanding of common writing practices. I have chosen to take her for 305, 405,318, and 418! She is accommodating for real emergencies and problems; you just have to be a professional! Use your e-mail and you'll do fine!

Dr. Hanson is not the easiest prof inthe world. If you're looking for an easy A this is not the class for you. She makes you work for your grade however if you go to class and do the assignments you will do well. The homework is easy and the quizzes come straight form the book. Just pay attention and you will do well i got a B+

Dr. Hanson is an excellent professor. She clearly describes the assignments and will gladly help you if you go to her. She's certainly not the easiest professor in the English department, but if you want to really *learn* how to write, not just breeze through a course, you should take her.

She owns 30% of her own soul, and the devil owns the rest. She's evil! She grades so hard if you're not one of her "special students" so, if you're not a butt kisser, you should already know that's not you! Her knowledge is very good, but we're not as experienced as she is!
