Marta is one of the nicest profs I've ever had. She really cares about students and is always very kind. The class can be difficult if you don't show up and do the online homework. MAKE SURE TO PARTICIPATE! If you don't follow the participation criteria closely, you will not get an A. For Spanish 2, definitely take Marta!

This class is difficult because most of the learning is expected to be done outside of the classroom and in class you are expected to actively participate. Even when I thought I was participating enough, it wasnt up to her standards.

She gave everyone Cs for their first participation grade and random grades after that. I got As on all the homeworks and exams and still didnt get an A in the class because she was so harsh on participation and the oral exam. We did very well on our oral exam and only got a B on it. Its like she didnt want anyone to get an A in the class!

Marta is pretty dry at the beginning of the course but you learn to appreciate the little things she throws your way. One time she talked on the phone about the vending machine for half the class. She's hilarious sometimes. You get out of class at least 15 mins early almost every day so that's a huge plus. There are essays, but they're easy.

Good professor. The weekly online homeworks are a pain but eventually you get used to them. 3 exams aren't bad if you use her study guide and she grades the oral exam very easily. Do the homework and participate in class and you'll be fine.

Marta is so funny. She gives a fun class. The class was moderately challenging but I think most people I know got a B at the lowest. Its the online stuff that makes it hard. Otherwise its a pretty easy class. She gets to know her students and keeps class flowing fast and fun.

Really nice woman. Most of your learning is done through the Powerpoints and through the homework assignments. She wants to see her students succeed. I was petrified to take her class. Minimal speaking, except for oral test. Take her, it's a good, simple class. :)

Marta is a great person that is more than willing to help you understand anything that is confusing. Attend office hours and talk to her, she is my favorite professor thus far at Penn State. I couldn't have had a better year. She is fun and keeps the class upbeat. Take her if you have the chance!

Extremely helpful and makes class fun. The weekly Angel homeworks are a pain, but you get used to them and they aren't so bad. Exams aren't bad if you use her study guides, she really wants everyone to do well. Easily grades the oral exam too. I would recommend her.

Incredibly easy class! Just go to class, and do your angel homework. It doesnt take long, and basically teaches you everything you need to know. Do the review for test, other then that not much studying is needed. And don't stress about the oral, she really wants everyone to do well and is an awesome teacher!!
