Mintchev is a great, organized and strict professor. He teaches real design, which is the core of electrical engineering.

He is an average teacher. However he is extremely harsh, doesn't allow students to eat food, wear hats, go to the washroom or talk during lectures. Will call you out for asking a 'stupid question'. Loves to use intimidation tactics against his class. I'm an above 3.0 student, however I failed this class and it caused me lots of stress.

Russian teaching style; Great yet rigorous; Will teach you how to do things in real life. Extremely predictable, you know what you are going to encounter on the exams two weeks ahead. Don't skip a class! He is tough, so don't take his class if you just want to graduate. But for those people want to learn, take 469 and 569. Hardworking pays here.

569 Mintchev > 469 Mintchev, but they're both pretty good. The 569 version jokes around more, understandably as 3rd year students haven't really been through the ringer yet and the 569 students at least indicate they're somewhat interested in his class by taking it in the first place. A funny guy, great prof, but needless to say strict.

Excellent prof who really wants his students learn deep. He is respectful, well organised, and well disciplined. Excellent teaching style. His lectures are inspiring, focused on practical application of electronics. Resourceful course content delivered by a resourceful expert prof. I really feel fortunate taking this course with Dr. Martin.
