Funniest coolest man. Also check out all the sweet patents he has. This course was super easy. To give out the $100 he had to pull randomly because several people got 100% on the midterm

Forget about teaching for a sec. This guy has to be one of the nicest, most helpful and coolest (despite age) human beings on planet earth. Enough said.

This ol' chap draws nice circuits. The midterm was very easy, therefore the final was quite tough. Gave a nice crispy $100 bill to a random student who got 100% on the midterm. He sometimes goes into some pretty advanced applied examples, but doesn't explain those very well. Not too shabby.

Nicest Prof you will ever have. Class tends to drag a bit... He is a bit monotone and the material is basic at best. I really appreciated his class after talking to friends from the other sections. One of the other profs made many in his class cry on the final. If you want to get this course out of the way and keep your GPA... go with Tulip!

Not being an electrical student I was scared to take this course, but it's a fairly straighforward course and the prof is quite good. He's got a good sense of humor and assignments are fair. He might throw a curveball at you and repeat old exam quesions, so be on the lookout for that.

The teaching style wasnt too fancy...solved examples in class rather than just talking abt theory (which was good... analytical appraoch) n the assignments n exams were exactly(well 95%)the same so i felt really good after writing his exams.

Entertaining prof. Nothing too extraordinary about lectures. Cool guy though and pretty straight forward exams. Not as indepth and rigorous as Jeremy Sit though, but worth having as a prof. Would be a great prof for the plasma and laser electives

Tulip reminds me of the actor John Cleese. Nicest guy ever and pretty helpful if you can ever find him outside the classroom. No surprises on his exams, pretty easy marker. You're pretty much guaranteed to pass this course if you do the assignments.

I loved Tulip's class. He explained things well and added in interesting little bits of history or trivia to keep you awake. His notes were good and useful for the exams and assignments. You could tell that even though he didn't need to be teaching he enjoys it. The "samlon" shirt was great!

This guy is smooth... He makes sure you learn what you have to learn and doesn't get fascinated about making the exams too hard to make himself feel better unlike Jeremy Sit.

Great prof, really knows his stuff, and he does give away $100 for the best mark on his tests. Also throws in real applications for the stuff you're learning, which I find helpful.

This was an Electrical course for non-Electricals...Tulip knew it and didn't press the issue. He stuck to the basics, made sure we knew them well and left it at that. Awesome prof. Assignments were challenging but not impossible, exams EASY!
