Right off the bat: Do not take her online class if you cannot learn for yourself! I taught myself the entire semester from youtube. Her class is just a way to get a grade at that point. She did, however, post a google voice number for help. If you were stuck you could text her a problem and she would help, which is super cool!

I took her for Contemporary Math and did great. She gave study guides that truly reflected what would be on the exams. She offered extra credit as well. In class she would explain concepts slowly so that everyone could catch on. She is so sweet and as long as you put in the work and study, you will do well. TAKE HER!

I think she might be the worst online instructor I've ever had I do not recommend any online classes with Abbott. I'm sure she's a fine teacher in class but from what I saw online, never again.

She does not care about how well her students are doing in class. It is very frustrating when trying to ask her for help, because she gets annoyed. If you do not understand you are pretty much on your own.

Comment:

One of the best math teachers I've ever had. She takes her time to make sure the entire class is keeping up with her, she makes things as easy as she can for you. The homework is mostly online, with an occasional worksheet or page from the book. Not too many tests, and they aren't very long. The online homework allows unlimited attempts at 100%.

Everyone who's reading this, I'm informing you that this professor may seem nice by appearance but she's the type of professor who wants all her students to master the material by next class. To be honest, I'm the type of student who works really hard to the maximum but Mrs. Abbott doesn't see me nor the 75% my classmates. She's not a good teacher

For her online Business Math class she posted wonderfully helpful videos that broke down each problem and worked through it step by step. I would watch those videos religiously! An online Math class can be hard, if you don't understand it from the book what are you going to do?

Class presented in a confusing and odd timeline. She mostly worked examples from the book, so then you don't have any alternative examples to look at. She was not organized and rarely prepared. Sometimes shed get half way through an example ad not be able to finish it. She would say she'd post answer keys and examples but didn't. Jumped around.

She's a very nice teacher however she jumps around A LOT. If you don't know how to teach yourself some of the things out of the book, good luck on being able to understand what she is teaching. I think she knows the material but she doesn't convey it to the students very well.

This is the best math teacher I have ever had. The class is hard but she does an amazing job of explaining everything so if you just go to class, pay attention and do the homework you will be fine. She is friendly and down to earth. She doesn't assign too much homework, just enough to make sure you understand the material. I highly recommend her!!

Best part about this class was being able to e-mail her with a question and she would respond back with a short video that you could re-watch. Made it a lot easier when I was struggling with the material. Only problem I had with this class was that I wish there was more homework to force you to do the work, since Math is all about practice.

One of the best teachers I have ever had. She is helpful, great explanatory videos, and quick response. As long as you do the work, watch the short videos (around 4 min. each), and put a slight amount of effort, the class is a breeze.

I tried to take this class and it ended horrible for me.. I am bad at math but oh my lord she was confusing. She jumps around and you never really know what shes talking about. She jumps around in the book too and she makes a lot of mistakes such as when you ask her if an answer is right she says yes but then she counts it as wrong when she grades.

Mary Lynne is one of the mostamazing teachers I have ever had. She explains things amazingly during class and helps you when you're stuck. She refers people to the TLC all the time (which she used to work at)and gives you review before every test. She also gives out a nice amount of extra credit points..There is NO reason anyone would fail.

Took online business math and she had made videos for every topic. These were such awesome videos that as long as I followed along with them and watch some a few more times to brush up, then would get A's on my tests. Great teacher, one of the best I ever had!

This lady was an awesome teacher with awesome videos. She is so helpful. Failed this class from nother teacher who made it hard, then I too her and got a B becaause she is so awesome !
