Taking her right now: love her. She is so caring and unbelievably dedicated to her classes and students. She expects a lot from you, and there are many writing assignments, but she is only preparing you for the field you are trying to go into: teaching! The class is challenging for sure, but worth it! She gives very constructive feedback! Take her!

She give's a lot of assignments and some extra credit but he extra credit isn't worth it. She grades really hard on papers. The test are hard. She doesn't offer extension on assignments if you forget or have an issue. I wouldn't suggest her to anyone.

Dr. Mattson is an incredible professor. She is very passionate about education and wants her students to do well academically. Although she does assign a lot of work, she makes herself easily available if students need help andor clarification. Many of her assignments require you to draw quotations from the book, so the book is a must have.

I love Dr. Mattson. She is the best and really takes an interest in her students. I had family problems and she helped me through that too. Best teacher ever. Very passionate about us being prepared as teachers. Highly highly highly recomended

I love Dr. Mattson. She is very passionate about teaching and it is very obvious that she care. She knows what she is doing and her class is fun. She makes sure that you are prepared for what is to come as far as the next school. Its snoce when a teacher cares. I love her. Just make sure you do your assigned work.

I'm taking the online class and am debating on dropping it. She is not very understanding and will not let me do my field hours somewhere closer to me. All of the "acceptable" locations are about an hours drive away. The website is also very disorganized and the work load is ridiculous. It's like taking on another job. Avoid Her if possible.

Awesome professor, took online and she shows you all assignments at teh beginning of the class. Very easy to get an A. Plenty of writing in the class but hey it's education! Just follow the syllabus and you will do great! Only one test, no quizzes, just writing and a few projects! Read everything first day of class and be organized.

I do not recommend this professor to anyone. All I can say is horrible. Her class alone is like taking 4 classes. You have no time for your self and all your time is keeping up with her bs online class. WARNING DO NOT TAKE HER.

She's really helpful. Just keep up with her weekly discussions, few papers and complete your observation hours and you'll be fine. Class looks hard but it's not. Just keep up with the material. She's funny.

You're going to need your book for quoting online,FIELD OBSERVATION & VIDEO/BOOK REPORT.Overall she makes this course feel like it comes naturally to you. I love Dr. Mattson. She is the best professor in GPC. She always try to help students. Class has lots to do but everything is interesting. If you really want to be a good teacher, learn from her. A lot of my classmates choose her again in this semester. She made me feel education is amazing.

Dr. M, is a great teacher! I took her online and got an A. Discussions every week and about 3 test that come from the study guide questions. One diff lesson and your oberservation paper and thats about it. I highly recommend her!

I was SHOCKED to read all of the negative comments posted about Dr. Mattson. She is a lovely woman and a wonderful teacher. She was always willing to help out with the coarse material or advisement or anything academic. She really knows her stuff. The coarse was great and education majors will learn alot about the profession. I loved Dr. Mattson.

I love her! Please do not let th e 27 page syllabus overwhelm you. If everything goes smooth for you to get into the school system then you'll be fine with her. Participate in your weekly discussions and go to her class even if it is a Hybrid class... she gives easy participation points!

I love Dr. M. She is a wonderful teacher. She is so passionate about her profession and it definitely makes you want to try harder. She gives so much to her students. I am in all 3 of her education classes right now and I love them all. There is a lot of work but all you need to do is keep up with it and you will be fine. She is fabulous. LOVE HER!
