Best prof I ever had in my life. I've read the complaining comments below -- don't agree. You need to work hard, but the best organized and caring teacher I ever had at UofC. Sounds like the complainers wanted a free ride. You need to work to achieve success. He didn't just give it to you.

Great Professor! Took embryology and histology with Dr. Cavey. He makes you work hard but if you are prepared to learn the material, this class is very enjoyable, and you will leave with a lot of knowledge! Both zool 471 and 531 are great classes, I highly recommend them but you have to be prepared to put in the time!

Great Prof! Very organized and does help if you ask descent questions. If you don't work in this class you pay the price. No free ride here. His exams are very hard and you must know the material inside and out.

Carvey is a well organized, but the most arrogant prof I have ever had, he teaches purely because he has to. His course is painfull, he is unhelpfull and doesn't care about students.

Very organized professor. Do the work and learn the material and the exams are not hard. If you don't put the time in to really know the material your mark will reflect it. He gives you an outline of the notes so you can fill in the blanks as you go. One of the best profs.

My most painful class/labs. He's very methodical and if you tape record lectures and review them carefully with notes, and have an ability to memorize/regurgitate, then it's passable. But while all my other classes were 3.5-4.0, this was my only F.
