Dr. Woodbury is an amazing professor! His class isn't easy but if you attend all of his lectures and put in the study effort you can do really well. He is one of the few left that truly care about his students. If you want an easy A take another instructor, but if you really want to learn biochemistry the Dr. Woodbury!

Woodbury is a classic, lovable science professor who prepares you for the tests as much as possible (your grade is based on 3 exams +final). He takes his time explaining the concepts and problems and allows you to have several pages of cheat sheets (though you need to use them wisely as there is a lot of content). Go to the review sessions!

Dr. Woodbury is really a class act, one of the best professors I've had at ASU. Passionate about the field of biochemistry and really cares about what his students learn; he even brought three guest speakers to help us get an idea of what we can do after graduation. Grade based on four exams and you can bring notes, but they were still challenging.

Straight up lecture test class. No silly quizzes or attendance grades. The lectures and guests are amazing. This class reaffirmed by belief that a BCH major was right for me. Tells you what will be on the test. Concerned w mechanics, not so much memorization. I recommend him to anyone taking their BCH series.

He's a very great lecturer in biochemistry. He gives you interesting applications to the real world and makes sure that you understand the logic of the problems at hand. Tests really aren't as hard as he plays them up to be in the syllabus but that doesn't mean you can skip studying. Ask questions, show up, work through the homework.

Dr. Woodbury doesn't focus on detail that we will forget in a few months like some other professors do. He ensures that we understand how concepts, pathways, and reactions work the way they do. Problems are set up to make you think like a researcher, and how you might solve a problem given what you have learned. Terrific class.

He is a great professor. The exams have no surprises. They are composed of questions from the lecture notes posted online, in class CPS questions, and homework. You must do AND understand all of the homework to do well. Go to class everyday, take good notes on the cps questions and example problems, and don't be afraid to ask questions.
