I originally had Ferlazzo for American Literature. He's very friendly, and he's a good professor. Pretty easy grader, too; I got a straight A+ on every single essay exam I took in his class. I liked him so much that I took his Film as Literature course the following spring, which was a lot of fun, but the tests were just a little bit harder.

He is really into what he's teaching. There is a lot of reading but he grades the in class essays relatively easy. Take an interest, participate and you'll do fine.

Dr. Ferlazzo is a delight. Remember to keep up on class readings, take excellent notes and attend every class -- it is easy to fall behind if you are not consistant. A wise, wonderful and passionate professor.

the reading is interesting, and he is very excited about his subject. there is not a lot of margin for error because you lose points quickly, but its still a good class.

His tests are open note and pretty basic. He is very nice and friendly and always willing to help his students. Actually seems to care about student needs. Work load is pretty light and I enjoyed the material.
