One of my favorite professors I have ever had at Pepperdine. Extremely enthusiastic, funny, relatable, and helped me learn the material in an engaging manner. Highly recommend.

Very very engaging and doesn't waste a minute of class. Had great discussions and learned a lot. But the exams were tough. Could ease up on the exams. It is a GE after all.

Awful, awful, awful teacher. So unorganized, powerpoints don't make sense at all and then I failed the first exam even though I studied for hours, read every chapter and didn't miss a class. Her tests don't reflect what we learn in class at all. Also she is not a nice person. Clearly biased in her own opinions about society.

Soc Theory is an extremely tough class but if you gotta take it, take Kim. I can't imagine a prof that teaches it better. Her tests are formated so that they're easier for students and her lectures and powerpoint slides are really clear.

Tough class but Kim makes it very easy to learn.Lecture outlines,powerpoints,& reviews all tell you exactly what to study.For this class youll wanna do the reading if you want a decent grade, but thats just the way the class is.Kim is a top notch professor.She'll help you figure out your term papers.Also class participation helps boost grades a lot

Dr. Kim is an amazing Prof. I highly recommend taking her for any Sociology class you might have.She gives you lecture outlines that follow her powerpoints. Her lectures are extremely clear so you know everything that's on the tests. She's always available if you need help on anything (class related or not). Definitely a top prof at Pepperdine.

i took her class a couple of years ago and she still stands out as one of my best professors, so i had to come and give her props! she really is super helpful and one can tell that she does actually care about her students and really enjoys her field of study. Super nice, helpful, engaging, knowledgable, understanding. Everything every other teacher at Pepperdine is not. She'll give you all perspectives including the non-christian ones (GASP!) because she is true to her study and an expert in her field. We could use more experts who can actually teach around here!
