This class may be online, but do not slack off. DO YOUR HOMEWORK lots of the homework questions are reworded on the quizzes and tests. TAKE GOOD NOTES, you may not study them often but the better notes you take the more you will retain, if you need help ask. She is willing to help you out so you can get the best grade possible

Comment:

Most of the course work for this class was online, and the online program used was very helpful in working through problems. That being said, the professor herself does a very good job of explaining the work while in class, and will happily answer any questions you have.

Comment:

She's my favorite math instructor at ATU. I had her for precal and cal I and she gives very detailed lectures with examples of the problems you will face in the homework. There are quizzes often and homework daily. If you skip, you won't pass. She answers questions in class and during office hours. She is always willing to help.

I actually enjoyed this class. She is a little fast paced but it keeps you on your toes and makes class go by really fast! Go to class. She likes to give quizzes at least once a week. We used the text book the whole semester. She is extremely helpful during her office hours. She knows if you don't put in any effort!

Comment:

This is a fast paced class so you must be able to keep up attend class everyday, but sherrill knows what she is doing. Everything she does such as grading, attendance, and test are fair, so there is no room for argument. If you look for help she will give it, at times she may seem bitter, but she is very nice and understanding. Highly recommend.

Comment:

In PreCal, we had homework every night but most of it was just a repetition of class. She takes attendance every day after the first couple of weeks. She took time to answer questions and went over lessons thoroughly. She gives you study guides for every test but I barely had to study because we got so much practice work. Really nice teacher!

She was such a great professor! I wish she taught Cal I! She took her time going over things when people were having difficulty understanding, and sped it up when no one was asking questions. She may seem impersonal but when you talk to her, you can tell that she cares and is willing to help in any way possible! :)

I recommend this class to anyone simply because the professor is clear and well presented. She does everything with the overhead projector and it's very easy to understand. Watch out for her tests. They can be hard, but if you know that material they're cake. I didn't. She is a very sweet woman and would take her again if I had more math classes.

Heres the bottom line with Sherrill. She is full of herself, get pissy easily and is kinda impersonal. She has picky grading and can be very rude. However, with all of that said, her class is fairly easy. Virtually gives you the test in the study guide, lots of extra credit and grade drops. If you can put up with her, its a fairly easy grade.

I hated this class, it was terrible. She teaches to fast, and does not care about your questions. She may even make a smurk at a question that she thinks is stupid. Do not take her.

Nice lady! Very fast paced class but if you do the homework, you pass. She took off our 2 lowest quizes and 6 lowest homework scores. She explains everything really well! Don't use your cell phone in this class! Can be a little snotty at times though..

Took her for college Algebra, loved her! Very approachable and eager to help you during office hours. She gave alot of take home quizzes and her tests weren't that bad.

Mrs. Sherrill is a very enjoyable teacher. She seems to have confidence issues when working problems on the board due to the fact that so many students dislike her. In reality, they should be angry with themselves for being lazy. Her class is all about effort. You WILL get an A if you do your homework every night and do the study guides..

Mrs. Sherril is awesome. Probably the best math teacher I have ever had. She is very helpful and if you actually talk to her about it she is more than willing to help. She moves fast but that is good because you learn alot and you are wll prepared for future classes.

If Algebra is no prob for you, then Sherill will do. But if you're like the majority who need explanation, DO NOT TAKE HER! Her only redemption is that she gives study guides, which are very simular to the test. Be prepared for quizes. SHE'S QUICK AND DOESN'T LOOK BACK.
