Comment:
He is an out of the book type of teacher. He openly admits he hasn't worked in the field in quit some time, therefor he wants everything done the way its worded in the books. He is the only person on the east coast who is "passionate" about steam heat and I'm pretty sure Steam heat is a class at PCT only because he is the department head.

I have had Mr. Taylor for 3 hydronic classes at PCT, although his courses aren't that easy you will learn. As far as his credentials go he has a masters degree from Pitt in engineering, so I don't know what other people are talking about. If you do bad on a test he will allow you to take it again and average the two scores. He is honest and fair.

I thought he was a pretty good teacher. He really knows his stuff about steam boilers. It wasn?t an easy ?A? class though, there was a lot of work involved in the lab part of it. The key to getting good grades on the tests is to STUDY the heck out of the review sheet he gives you because what?s on that sheet is on the test.

I have to agree Taylor is not a very good teacher, he goes way overboard on the "busy" work. I also wonder about his credentials, he doesn't seem to know about anything except boilers. He grades the homework like its a test too. We're going to know boilers back and front, but not much else. From what I've seen of teachers at PCT he fits right in.

gives unnessesary work. Arogant and VERY unprofessional. Ciriculum and lesson plans are disorganized. doesnt fully answer all questions. How are you supposed to get "A" students with a "C" teacher. might be fine for entry level courses but should not be teaching HVAC engineering.

Gives ALOT of work. Rather inflexable and arogant. Beware he's a religious man and doesn't thin twice about imposing his views on his students. Looks alot like Ned Flanders.
